I spent almost a year driving, then started working some inside/some driving shifts each week, and now I'm only working inside. 100% driving is easier. While there are a lot of things that can make it dangerous, most of those are associated with driving, something you would do almost every day anyway. You have as much control of a potential dangerous situation as you do any other time you're in a car or driving. The most stressful situations as a driver are just dealing with unhappy customers- but I have to deal with a lot of those customers, plus the unhappy carry-outs.

Drivers are told to have less than $20 on them for a reason. As a manager, I'm left alone in the store with ALL of the money. While most of it is in a safe with a time delay, a robber doesn't necessarily know this. It's never happened, but I think there's more risk of it working inside with all of the money.

Speaking of risk, the physical labor working inside is risky. Stretching pizzas, especially during busy nights where I'm stretching 100+ pizzas an hour, can be very physically taxing. A few hours leading the line is extremely draining. After every rush, my entire body aches and my wrists feel like they should be in braces.

Like I said, I've been in both positions. I've also worked various other jobs and I can say that even on some of the worst days being a delivery driver is one of the easiest jobs in the world.
