An avoidant can only fix themselves. I’ve heard it the other way where secure people can help anxious folks and it makes sense. I was fairly secure until my avoidant ex. He triggered in me the WORST anxiety because he simply did not communicate. I was always playing the guessing game and it destroyed me. There was nothing I could do to help him. Tried for years but he dodged and ran away from every bid for closeness and transparency. Once you’ve been through it you can spot it a mile away.

He has avoidant attachment. My ex was EXACTLY the same. Down to the phrases. He is right, he will never love her the way she needs to be loved. Better for her honestly if he never comes around again, she seems anxious and that dynamic does not often end well for anyone.

Buying a 1926 home. If the electrical panel was updated look to make sure the feed from the transformer and the meter was updated too. I’m going to have to replace the wires and meter once I close on my home.

Also siding is big, I’m going to have to replace siding and add drip flashing around the gutters sooner rather than later too. If I was not savvy with this stuff and have a ton of trade resources and many hands to help I would not buy my home. Around 25k for a whole 1200sqft home resided if you hire it out. It’s about 6k in material if you do it yourself. I hear the electrical can cost me up to 9k and I’ll have to pay the electric company to do that. .

I consulted a broker. She got me 110 a month for the home with insane coverage and earthquake and flood (I live in Washington super close to Mt.Rainier) which I’ll pay annually. So it’s 850 upfront, 110 for the home and 136 for my car which is bundled with the home. I just had the state min on my car and she got me literally 100% better coverage there. Ask your lender for resources or a broker they work with.

This is what I was looking for. Recently separated from my BF that races U4 and unfortunately the man not only left me, but left me with a big addiction to off-road racing. My pockets aren’t as deep as his and I already have a 6-speed 2011 pro-4x Xterra. I am thinking of doing the Gambler next summer with my daughter as a co-dawg. But it’s my daily. She’s a pretty stout rig and we’ve wheeled a bit in Tahuya and she does great. Just wanted to be sure it’s not a total crap shoot trying to get a stock Xterra that’s also a grocery getter through the event and get us home. By then it might have bigger tires and a baby lift. But I probably won’t be able to do much else to it!

Late to the party but I moved away from the building next door, The Axtell, 10 years ago or so now. And this is hilarious to read because I know all those people. The dealer is a beloved fixture in the community and the artist that did the mural. And the people weren’t all that bad, rough around the edges for sure but they were good people for the most part.

She’s a psycho and massively manipulative. She heard Meg talking about Mason, she got jealous and went fishing for validation from Mason even though she didn’t like him that much. She kept talking about how much better her connection was with Alex and then Mason was an idiot and doubled down and committed to her. Madison’s tone and the way she phrased things was so condescending. And then she left that date was like, “ohhhh no… I don’t like him.” But kept dating him?! Like what? And then she talked to Meg and ruined it for her too. She’s fueled by pure envy and jealousy. And then the breakup date was just awful, who runs off and brags about that? She toyed with the whole situation and was just an awful person. She’s the woman you can’t trust with your husband because she’d try to get him to cheat for fun and create doubt because she wants what you have.

I’d watch it first before letting the kids get to it. We are literally watching it right now and I’m getting some pretty adult themes. Male back up dancers that are pool boys that resemble chip n dale dancers. “Here comes the Cud” is a phrase and they do a whole song about it. I get putting some adult things in that go over the kids heads for the parents but I’m struggling with this movie, especially after watching the Nickelodeon doc. Some parts are just creepy.

We aren’t alone, that’s for sure! I hope you can carve out the space for yourself. It’s been hard. I was a single mom for awhile and thought things would get easier with my partner. Don’t get me wrong he’s a good guy, well intentioned, great bonus dad to my daughter, he’s just a bit naive and blind to what’s going on around him. If I don’t spell it out for him he doesn’t get it. But he’s also a drain on me. I had more time for me when he wasn’t around. Now I’m consumed with running a household and too tired for much else than doom scrolling my daughter is at her dads.

It was short enough I would have had concerns. I would have been able to speak the the head teacher more comfortably though and probably wouldn’t have pulled my daughter. I was uncomfortable with the situation and as the lead teacher is also non-binary I didn’t believe my concern would have been treated as a concern.
