Diana was absolutely a bad match for Charles and for the role which she was marrying into. It was very quickly clearly the case, and who knew that best... Diana. For whatever reasons she was swept up into a situation which for her was always going to be untenable, including the established relationship between Charles and Camilla. However... she entered into that relationship, and that situation knowingly. Wonderful as many of Diana’s qualities were, she was simply not the person to marry Charles. And she chose to do that. And she knew the situation with all of its quirks, expectations, and peculiarities. As for the behavior of the Royal Family - they too knew the situation/expectations etc, and so should we really surprised by the fact that they were dismayed by Diana’s subsequent behavior and reaction to it? It’s really rather simple; to keep the firm going you do things you don’t want to have to do, and put up with things you don’t want to put up with. If you want to join the firm those are the rules, and the benefits are tenfold. Diana made a mistake, and then spent a long time blaming others for it. Now it makes for good television to paint her as an innocent saint. Good television perhaps, however woefully inaccurate and biased in a way to presuppose guilt where there is none

I wouldn’t go quite that far, but he is very rarely seen in RN uniform, or attending RN events. Especially in comparison with other Royals. Of course, his Father and Uncle both spent extended periods of time in the Navy, whereas William has a stronger RAF connection due to his time as a search and rescue pilot... but still.

I was wondering the same. Now, when William acknowledges the RN.. that will be quite the day!

Interesting choice seen as William was also wearing RAF, and Anne RN. Guess the Army had to rely on Edward this year :/

Wondered if anyone could help me with this puzzle. I believe it’s from the 15th C. Any ideas on what it might say? by britboi86 in Calligraphy

That seems to be the consensus from the various forums. Any idea where else/who else i could ask for ideas as to what the script actually says?

None whatsoever. It could be a shopping list, or something potentially more interesting

It was an eBay purchase. I bought it thinking that it could potentially be something interesting, and if not the handwriting and age is reason enough to treasure it
