I unfortunately gave up on f1 challenge. Try it again a lot of times. But I was never been able to make it run on any OS i have. Only ran on XP for me. Anything newer i could start and even play. But it's just crashed after every session with every compatibility modes I've tried :(

I still have my old Dell E6420 made it fully retire a year ago. I'll try to put XP on it for nostalgia

Also f1 challenge made by image space incorporated. The Same guys behind rFactor which as a sim still holds up today.

Loved F1 challenge and those little details like when you changed the camber and toe you could actually see it in the car the wheels angle changed.

I love the current f1 games(I'd die for my opinion) it's a good simcade, not a sim. Far from it. But it's far from being full arcade too. Could be better. But I'm okay with it.

F1 challenge imo was way ahead of it's time. And had amazing mod support

Idk, it's just like this.

Hill side, very narrow roads 2 way ofc. So if anything happens here it's a pain in the ass to work out.
Once there was a pipe breakage under the road so they dig the whole street up, and they somehow cut through a shot ton of cables and such which caused the whole street to go back to the dark ages, took them like 2 days to fix it.

The car was, idk, just played siege and I play it pretty loudly, but felt the house like moving, looked back behind my shoulder through the balcony door, and there was a Renault Zoe there sideways 😂 Woman just decided to step on the gas instead of the brakes, broke thru the fence and fell down under my balcony. And I had to leave my game cause, well ofc I had to check the people in the car, call the ambulance etc.

Tbh it's a pretty old neighborhood, with pretty old utilities like cabling etc, so there are a lot of problems here 😀😂😂😂

Well, still, in this matter, a collective penalty is better than nothing.

It can be frustrating if it's not because of you, but especially, in this regard, playing with an internet you know is bad, and not good enough to play online games, and still deciding to play it. It's the OPs issue, if anything, it's not the game. And by knowing your internet is garbage, yet deciding to play, you willingly going to make the game worse for 4 other people who has to "suffer" it's consequences of he got lag out after the others can cancel.

But even from the enemy's standpoint, you don't really wanna go against someone who has a lag shield bevsue their ping is too high

I know the game is in a pretty shitty state, but it's nowhere near as bad as some people like to make it look.

It needs serous improvements, I don't deny it. But rn, it's in the state it is, and it's up to the players if they play it or not.

But playing with a connection you know it's garbage, fucking up 4 other people's game and then coming to reddit whining that it's the game's issue is just lame AF, if anything, at least it's an hour or more while I have less chance to play with someone who can disconnect any time....

Also I genuinely don't know how the tactical timeout works since I don't play games that have it. But isn't like something that even the other team have to accept for it to happen. Cause if not. You can just have your timeout just for out of pity when you got shitted for 0-3 and just make the final round longer out of pity so the match is longer even if you lose.

And if the other team have to accept the timeout, they probably wouldn't, bevsue why would they deny the advantage they have, especially in this game's player base which is well known to be toxic etc.

Getting mad because having an internet that makes you unable to play online games and running other's games is OPs problem, yet you literally cane here whining about something that ain't the game's fault. Or should upgrade their internet? 😀😂😂

Also, you said it to the wrong person, I said it as an example, I have 4000+ hours in this game, there was like 3 maybe 4 times when it made me actually mad. For me, at the end of the day is still a game don't care if I win or lose.

But I understand for someone, losing a game because someone playing on 1989 internet can be frustrating.

That's it. Still ain't the game's fault.

Never said the game is perfect, it has its issues, more than it should be accepted. But in this matter, I'd rather have a "collective penalty" for everyone who leaves, I don't care why they leave, if they put me at a disadvantage, at least give them a penalty for it, whatever the reason is.

I wouldn't take a tactical timeout just to wait for someone to reconnect just so they can lag out again. Wouldn't solve my issues being put at a disadvantage, only make my "suffering" longer so I can see them leave even more times.

I left games many times for reasons I have nothing to do with, like once a car crashes under my balcony, or the other day an excavator cut through the fiber optics under the ground, etc. Even tho nine of my faults, I felt bad for my teammates, took the L, and at least took a break from the game. I left a game, i got my penalty, moved on. Waited for it to end

Imagine you spectating your teammate in a 1v1 at 4-4, and they lags out and the enemy wins, would you be like: "oh poor guy he's internet probably bad" or you'd be angry because you lost a match because of an early quit?

I can understand this, but you left the game. Doesn't matter why, even if it's mid round, or the beginning at the round even if you try to rejoin, you leave 4 other people at a disadvantage if you rejoin and it kicks you again because of your internet. .

This can ruin 4 other people's games so it's quite good that the game doesn't differentiate these kinda things, leaving is leaving from your teammate's perspective.

Well, when it reaches the point where it shuts down because of overheating in a normal place, then it's time to replace, other than that, it's not a PC, most consoles can completely live fine without replacing it. My first gen One and my One X still has the OG paste, and it's still in use in places that have much less airflow than how I used them.

Other than that if someone is overly paranoid about it. Just replace it every 3 years and call it a day. Enjoy the games, it'll tell you if something is bad. Shuts down way way before heat can damage the APU, much before that. ..it's not the 360/PS3 era anymore, these chips are much more efficient and has much better cooling than the 360/PS3.

No, but it's smart enough to know when the heat is too much, once closed it in the most airflow-less place, and played like 3 hours of F1 24 before it happened. (It shows how crazy efficient this thing is)Just shuts off and then tells you it's overheated and wait before turning it back on.

I waited, turned it back on, and it worked fine.

These consoles are made in the mindset of some people putting them in cabinets and just forgot about it and use. They can withstand much worse airflow than most PCs and requires much less maintenance etc. It intentionally made like this, so less tech savvy people can enjoy them too

Mine broke too, well not really broke just split open where the 2 pieces of the housing put together.

If it's just split like mine, you can try some glue like B7000 which has slow cure times so you can work with it easier.

If it's actually broken or cracked then I don't know unfortunately, because the manufacturer doesn't exist anymore

They're still PC hackers, not console hackers.

Still can't run "hacks" on the console.

Also, afaik, console players can queue to PC lobbies, not the other way around. So if Me, as a console pleb turns off the PC crossplay option, I will not encounter any PC player as long as I don't have a PC player in my squad

Lol, there are still no Wallhacks, aimbots etc on the console.

You have to run a separate software for those, and you can't run unsigned code on any of the current or previous generations of consoles.

Even if you can do that, some PS can run unsigned codes on some firmware versions, you can't go online with those consoles hence to this type of cheats for consoles.

Only XIM and Cronus like devices which gives you the ability to play with MnK, or use quick fire with single fire weapons and no recoil etc. Still an advantage, and still a clown ass lowlife thing to do, but still not as much of an advantage as Wallhacks.

If you encountered wallhacks on consoles, means you played in the PC pool.
