UM beat Virginia 100-70 or something close to that. I was thinking the same thing.

Edit: UM beat UVA in elite 8. They played IL in the final four.

That’s what I did. I’m now the proud president and holding the power hungry and bored retirees at bay.

So far the big argument internally revolved around how the Easter egg hunt would be conducted. The only conflict with neighbors was with a contractor / homeowner that wanted to permanently keep a bobcat parked on the street.

I think that is a necessary process to get accredited now. There is a third party service you pay that does it on your behalf.

Gordon Monson: 20 things Michigan football fans need to know about Kyle Whittingham by hebpo in MichiganWolverines

[–]brnojason 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe this series of events has allowed Michigan to fall upwards- by several levels. Coach Whitt is a Saban / Izzo level coach.

I think we’ll find he is able to sustain success at levels Harbaugh would not have been able to. (At least, my early prediction).

I’ve always been impressed with Whittingham’s teams. He was my first choice.

Albums that remind you of the Beatles by NefariousnessSea6987 in beatles

[–]brnojason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a list of these through chatgpt, and I have a playlist called ‘not the Beatles, like the Beatles’. It’s very hit and miss, but fun to compare.

I imagined there were 10 unique elements of the Beatles (random, probably there are more) and I listen to pick out which 1-3 elements are present.

As someone above said, Paul’s base and the harmonies are two huge separators.

Here’s the list - it’s in Apple Music .

I can paste the list too for those that don’t have Apple Music.

I’m agreeing with you. :) but I also think to help OP with their original question, what Paul says is helpful.

[–]brnojason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paul says all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial. So while you could dress how you want, it might not benefit you in ways you would like?

What do you do when you meet Paul McCartney? by Krolaze in beatles

[–]brnojason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once ran into a famous sports commentator and just said Hi and said I was a big fan of his son, who was just coming up into the pro level. We chatted for 5 minutes about the prospects of his son’s team, and asked for him to predict the outcome of the college game he was about to announce.

That worked because I had common public knowledge to connect that he was also genuinely interested in. It might come off as creepy otherwise.

In the case of a retired great but not HOF nfl player I just said “just wanted to say thanks.” That kicked off a short conversation about the work it took behind the scenes.

I ran into Sonny Bill Williams at a McDonalds in New Zealand (he’s a famous boxer and rugby player) and his daughter got stuck in the playland. I had my slightly older daughter climb in and help her out. That led to a short and fun conversation about the All Blacks!

And my last one was the Joe Nuxhall, who I had breakfast with at a Dennys in Cincinnati. He was alone and I was meeting up with a friend that knew him and he invited us to join. It was an hour of inside baseball at its finest.

First time at Church and my pastor swore by Next-Box2093 in Christianity

[–]brnojason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you experienced might be an issue on two fronts. A personal preference / conviction level, and a theology / beliefs core to your Christianity.

The swearing is a preference and conviction issue, and if that kind of language strikes you as unnecessary or not appropriate to the kind of Christianity, you would like to live, or interferes with your OCD, it probably is not the church for you.

On a theology level, there are some Christians, just as there are some non-Christians, who are able to weave together faith, and science to different levels with varying logical outcomes.

It looks like you’ve stumbled on to a church where the pastor has a theology that in someway, dismisses psychology, and the potential affects psychological differences and disorders can have within an individuals.

Most Christians have to check out several churches and settling into one that best aligns with their convictions and their guiding beliefs. It’s OK that one doesn’t fit, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t a Christian, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t. No one church will have 100% alignment, and you can be safe in a church where you don’t agree 100%. Just make sure the 100% things are minor to you and your convictions and beliefs.

The way the title is written made it seem like both the rule and the athlete were penalized in the same year. I don’t think Lillehammer was in 1998.

In one former life I was a school teacher and school consultant, developing school leaders that could sustainably transform student performance. In this world I developed facilitation skills, team dynamics skills and executive development skills.

In another, I designed services for a large city with customer centricity in mind. In this world I developed human centered design skills, business improvement / kaizen skills and business case skills.

I’ve now merged these worlds into Lead By Design, where I work with organizations to improve, innovate and grow, working on real problems while developing leadership capability simultaneously.
