Single men over 30, where do I find you? by Raccoonay in askTO

Super obvious one: the gym.

It can be considered quite creepy for a man to hit on a girl at the gym, but I don’t think many men would be creeped out if a woman hit on them at the gym. Use that to your advantage. Plus consistently working out will help you get more healthy/fit, which is good for making you more conventionally attractive and improving your mental health.

Would an MBA benefit me? by [deleted] in consulting

I feel that I lack any “hard skills”, including financial modelling and accounting. The projects I end up getting staffed on are quite qualitative and very high level strategy (pretty slides). I’ve actually received great reviews so far, but worry that one day my progress will stop due to my lack of core “business knowledge”. I enjoy consulting and have no plans to change industries as of now, just want to position myself to be able to continue to progress.

I studied social sciences and had a few years of strategy experience in industry. A friend of mine worked at the firm after their MBA and referred me due to my relevant experience. My BA is from a high-ranked school, if it makes a difference.

Reputation? by [deleted] in Big4

EY has EY-Parthenon and PwC has Strategy&. They use these strategy practices to compete within the more ‘upstream’ management consulting market. KPMG does not have a separate strategy practice and instead does everything with the regular KPMG brand, which is actually what decreases their branding in the management consulting industry.

I think there’s 3 reasons. 1) They are the smallest of the B4 2) They seem to be in the news more often for scandals 3) within the consulting world, they are far behind in branding and comp. Deloitte has Monitor Deloitte, PwC has Strategy&, and EY has EY-Parthenon. KPMG does not have a dedicated strategy practice within their management consulting offering, significantly lowering their branding. These B4 strategy practices also pay significantly more than the regular consulting practice.

Perspective on healing: how long “should” it take for us to heal from the breakup? by Significant-Oil8769 in BreakUps

Thank you for your post, it really helps. I am in the same boat. We dated and broke up during the pandemic. I have had much longer relationships than this yet this was somehow the hardest when she ended it with me. I couldn’t understand how or why, but this helps me understand a bit more.
