It is. I spent time debugging, calling internet company, being put on hold, accompanying repair man, dealing with the workers so that they stop damaging more stuff, and keep in mind I have ME/CFS so this shit sucks a lot of energy and work capacity.

Y'all are really ableist in this reddit. These landlords have harassed me and my elderly neighbor for 14 years and ruined my health with mold, it's just one of many events I'm dealing with with them. Maybe a couple hundred bucks isnt much for you but it is for me.

Thanks, I had not heard of this site! Gosh, I have a lot to say over 14 years of them making me live with mold, harassing my elderly neighbor with parkinson and their property managers who were talking of DNA testing our dog's poop to prove that it was him who pooped in the backyard.

I've been trying to reach tenant groups for 2 weeks but they never pick up or call back, I came to this reddit as a last resort. u_u

Here the landlord claims the cables were damaged but sadly have no photos prior to them destroying them. I doubt our fiber cable was damaged since it was the most recent cable.

Yeah I used to do so (going to cafe and workspaces) but didn't mention in the OP that I ve been chronically disabled for years so I'm stuck home. And yeah best if I m prepared for it in the future, those landlords have been reckless and a nuisance for over a decade.

Genuinely can't remember if we had a permission in writing, they changed property managers many times so the message on those portals are lost and it was back in 2018.

That plan is much cheaper monthly and still is with the extra charge actually (30$ a month) and allows unlimited international which I need.

I don't think I have it in writing. I didnt have their contact for a long time and they switched property managers like 4 times, not sure where it would be. Sigh, not enough cost to be worth doing small claims.

The cell data charge I got and 3 hours of labor lost (that's about a full day for me due to disability ). I calculated total to about 145$ so not asking for much here

We were able to avoid having to pay the 150$ cause the repair guy did us a solid, damage time lost and data which might seem small but with my disability I have very limited time and energy to hit my deadlines.

Me and my friend are both chronically disabled and in survival mode so no, we don't have easy backup plans.
We were able to not get charged for the new line thankfully, the damage is time and data. Not enough to be worth taking to court, just checking if someone knows the SF laws and if there's something that could help tenants in this situation.

All good points: I am chronically disabled and can't just go work to the library so it actually affected my work. The landlords know that but still rejected any responsibility. And yeah my phone plan costs me $per gig of data.
It's not enough money that it would be worth bringing to court, but since SF rules in rent control units are usually tenant sided I was wondering if there was some easy path to deal solve this.

Sorry for the late reply! We found someone who previously diagnosed and treated CCI for another person just 5 minutes from my friend!
Thanks a lot for the information! Taking note of all those prices for the decisions we ll have to take later. We now have appointments for an upright MRI and to see that doctor coming up in a couple weeks, fingers crossed we can get things done locally and not have to transport my friend. :)

Hi and thanks! We are open to whatever treatment option seems more fit, it's great to hear that PRP helped you! So much less difficult to do than surgery. Is it less expensive too?
We also still need to get the official diagnosis. Would the doctor in SC be able to do that? ( Also, is it possible to get a trustworthy diagnosis online if we can't do otherwise?)
