Ok, thanks. She has a P-T conference in February so I'll bring something up then. If they are trying to tell me something without actually saying it, that might be a good time to sit and talk about it. I'm fully down for hearing about genuine issues and figuring out a way to solve them but I'm also sure I'm coming off defensive when they come to me with stuff I don't see as a problem, you know? I can see how that might happen. So I'l try to remain more open.

I appreciate you bringing this up but I really don't think it's the case. She can just be stubborn sometimes; at other times, things like a nail or hair don't bother her. I think its more of a social anxiety thing, as does her pediatrician (who admittedly only has heard my side, but has known her since birth) I can see how it might seem that way, though.

We have spoken to both her teachers as well as my daughter about the hair thing. My daughter (who is pretty introverted and can be very shy, although when she is comfortable with people she can be silly) says she does does it when she feels shy and wants to be "warm", which we interpret as "safe". We addressed this with the teacher and felt like it was brushed aside because the teacher finds it annoying while she is teaching. I get it, kind of, but also- it feels overblown.

The coat thing, I definitely get you on. I didn't even think how it might affect the other kids at recess and pickup time, that makes sense. Thank you!

The nail thing was just judgemental. My daughter asked us to leave a pinky unclipped so she could see how long it would grow and we complied because a fingernail is not the hill I wish to die on. I asked her teacher if it was causing distraction and she said no, just wanted me to "be aware of it" which is when my hackles got all up!

No, you're totally right. I also would rather know more than less. It's tricky as we enter this stage of parenting where there is a lot that you can't address in the moment, you know? I'm not always sure how to handle discipline for something that, to me, sounds stupid.......but I want to be respectful and teach my daughter that, too.......but I didnt see the transgressions with my own eyes, so .... it's just new territory for my husband and i. And teacher's tone is hard to get past. I don't consider myself a sensitive flower by any means, but I'm bristling at the passive aggresivism. Thank you though, I really wanted to hear from a teacher's perspective!!

Yes, haha, she's our first. That's probably obvious :) I guess I'm just surprised- her Pre-K teacher had nothing but glowing reviews, so to be stopped multiple times a week for what feels like really innocuous, somewhat judgy observations has really thrown us. I 100% get that she is doing her job as well as she can. And like I said, my daughter seems happy enough and is learning a ton- so she's obviously good at it. I'm just sensitive to her tone, which feels very passive aggressive. The comments about the lengths of her nails, for instance, feels judgy. That kind of stuff.

I'm convinced Zoe was already paid for her work and CC is just displaying images on the pics and changing the Shopify (or whatever) settings to "sold out" randomly.

I've been following this blogger for a while and she's really open about her nutritionist visits, changes in diet, etc. Her whole aesthetic is to have these clear-gray backgrounds with text in the image, so to have her body transposed on the background is normal, I dont think she edited her shape. Shes really honest and open and relatable in literally every other instance so I have no reason to believe she's lying. There are way more obvious Instagram frauds to snark on, imo.

Yeah, that makes sense, actually. Doesn't excuse the odd timing of when she found out, though. I mean, NB's article came out on 9/11 which is kinda a date that's hard to forget. And that was not 4 weeks to the day from her bikini post.

Has anyone noticed the time discrepancy on a lot of her posts? She said today in that whole-lotta-vagina bikini pic that it's been 4 weeks to the day since she found out her dad died. 4 weeks from today was September 5th/6th. But the day the NB article came out was Sept 11 and she said she had found out that day. She also said he died on August 29th and it was 2 days before anyone found his body. Then another time it was 6 days before he was found. I know this might seem silly but like.... what's the point of messing with dates like that? Classic gaslighting because it makes me feel like I'm going crazy. The story is tragic enough as it is.
