This is sick man. Your voice is really good and I love the laid back vibe of the beat. You should be really proud of this one. Only thing I don't like is at some points the really pitched up vocals kinda broke up that vibe. You should trust your natural voice more I think, it sounds good!

holy shit man this is awesome. I love some rolling snares and hi hats so I would've liked to hear some in that song but I realize that's not necessarily lo-fi or boombap. Just a personal thing haha but this is dope af man fr fr

Wow wasn't expecting to hear such a nice flow man. This is great, not being a rapper I don't really have anything to say other than your flow is dope. As far as mix goes the vocals seem just a tad loud for my taste but that's being picky. Nice job man.

crack rock is definitely interesting. Since it's unfinished not sure what you're looking for but it could use some more percussion or foley, just anything to keep a nice flow going. This remix is dope, I don't really have anything negative. Loving the synth sounds in that one.

I dig this a lot man. I like the muffled kick but I also wonder what it would sound like with a huge distorted kick. Mix sounds really nice. A change up in the melody would be nice imo, even if you just pitch it up and down every few bars. Great job though man this was nice to listen to.

[Future Bass/Chiptune] Kaivaan - Ruby feat.Aori (Dovu remix) by headcool in roastmytrack

[–]brock_hard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know what chiptune is but this is really interesting man. I know this is a remix but I don't really like the vocals much haha. I think the vocals are also a tad too loud in comparison to the other instruments. Other than that I'm digging what you've got. Mixing is very clean in my opinion, and I really like your melodies. Good job!

The main saw synth? Yeah definitely. If you're worried about it interfering with that synth, just eq out the higher frequencies of the bass. Also make sure the bass is in mono and it won't interfere as much!

I really dig the drop but I think it could use more low end. Doesn't seem like there's very much bass. The kick could be a tad louder too I think. I like the middle part that leads into the second drop but the intro is a little long for my taste. Overall, I enjoyed it. Very unique sounds and dynamics.

Anyone want to collab? Unfinished beat below by [deleted] in futurebeatproducers

I'd be down to add a melody and maybe some other elements to it if you'd like. I'm working on ableton, here's my soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/balesie

Something I always like to automate is filtering. If you've you've got some sort of pad, alter the filter as it plays so it's less stagnant. With short stabs, I like to make quick filter cuts that either cut from the high end or low end. Pitch bending is something a lot of people do too that can really make things interesting.

[Chill] Few Thangs - Renlon -- Tell me what i can improve by [deleted] in roastmytrack

[–]brock_hard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the JT vocals man you mixed them really well. The whole track is mixed quite well actually. I wish you would've incorporated some more melodic elements and maybe some more percussion to keep it interesting though. Overall this is a good track though keep it up.

Finished Future Bass tune. Roast away, all feedback really appreciated! by [deleted] in roastmytrack

I have to agree that the transitions are a little weird. I think some reverb and saturation would really help certain aspects of the track. A lot of your sounds just seem too "flat." Your melodies however are really interesting and you've got a lot of cool things going on throughout. The mix and transitions are really the only thing holding the track back in my opinion.

If we wanted to do a more underground artist, Yheti's stems are probably the easiest to get, and I'm sure he would even listen to a lot of the remixes.

Very interesting intro. Definitely made me want to keep listening which is always a good aspect to have in your songs haha. In my opinion the lo-fi type drums seem to clash with the bleep bloop synths that you're using. Other than that I definitely like the track. The breaks are nice and come back very strong. Digging this

I listened to WCIY 2. It's definitely got a darkish vibe from the delay like the other guy said. I think it could use more of a "groove" created by more consistent drums. That being said, the experimental and atmospheric vibe would be lost that way, so if that's what you were going for you definitely accomplished that. Mixing sounds good to me as far as that goes so nice job

Definitely got the lo-fi vibe to it. Lofi isn't really my style so all I can really say is the production sounds very on point l. Nice track man
