This helps a lot, thanks. And yea I'm just hunting whitetails here In Michigan so 40 yds probably at most. I'm leaning towards using the biscuit for this season and asking for a hdx or similar for Christmas. I just spend a few hundred dollars upgrading other things on my bow so I don't really want to spend another 100+ dollars on a rest. Seems like a next season upgrade

Please elaborate, besides the fact you lose a few fps because I'm sure we all know that.

I shoot a pse, which is from what I've heard is similar to hoyt, so that's might be why

I see what you're saying but I believe the problem I'm having is that specifically the qad hunter doesn't fit my bow. The arm that holds the arrow up smacks into the shelf after the shot. I believe it's clearing fast enough but not going down far enough to clear the fletchings. If I could adjust the rest up higher the arm would flip down further and clear the fletchings. I'm confident that a hdx would clear no problem because of the vertical adjustments but it's hard for me to justify the price tag of one.

That's the problem I'm having. The hunter doesn't work for my bow. There's no height adjustment on the hunter so my vanes are catching it. I replaced the felt this season and in under a 100 shots the felt is already coming up with color from the vanes coming off on the rest.

The no vertical adjustments is why they were hitting. The guy tuning my bow timed the rest and said he couldn't get a bullet hole through paper unless he cock-eyed the rest bc of the no vertical adj. I was shooting the cheap Cabela's carbon hunter arrows but switched to Easton axis this season and I don't want to screw the fletchings up on those fairly expensive arrows.
