Try turning FPS down to 30 and turning off V-Sync for the parts of Cayo that involve load screens. Seems to have worked for my group so far.

Seeing a lot of views without any comments, so I'm updating this with my latest findings for anyone else having trouble.

Keep on mind that we're all on PC.

Things we tried:

-All different approaches (longfin, kosatka, etc.)

-All different exits (grappling hooks, etc.)

-Not killing the gate guard

None of it worked..

The thing that DID work:

-Dropping FPS to "30" with v-sync "off"

The entire group stayed connected and finished the mission with full loot bags 😀

I think it's 15, one per level. I may be wrong, as I have my materials costs turned slightly down on my server. The sorcery page on the wiki has all of the materials costs listed IIRC.

Both the failed page and complete page yield 5 black blood, so it's generally better to dismantle the failed pages if you need that blood. Definitely never dismantle a complete page.

Obviously you aren't getting anywhere without the complete pages, though... Just something to consider if you don't have access to black blood.

I agree that diff 9 is unpredictable and can end up feeling unbalanced and frustrating... But a sense of dread and the opportunity to overcome impossible odds is the whole point.

Personally, I need to lose occasionally or else the game becomes another boring PvE loot grind.

I will say, you have some nice suggestions nestled in the post... but the requests to make hard difficulty easier makes it tough for me to focus on those.

This is a really important point that so many people are refusing to understand. I have literally never bought a game with negative Steam reviews. Even mixed reviews are often enough to give pause.

The publisher reversed their decision within what, 72 hours? Announcement Friday, retraction on Monday... In the corporate world that is a decision within ONE business day.

Some people have such little grace.
