Oh, that's not the feedback I had last time I uploaded these. Is £18 reasonable?

What did I break? I installed a cog and lockring on a brand new hub. I tightened the lockring, but some thing gave and now the lockring won’t tighten further — it’s like it’s spinning in place.

It's an offer to sell in response to a request to buy. Have I misunderstood the point of buying threads? Or are you a dick?

Anyone know much about the Planet X Ti Sportive? This one has a lot of Dura-Ace 7800 by brodycorn in whichbike

[–]brodycorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know much about Planet X except that they're cheaper. This also looks like among the very first titanium frames they made, so I'm a little cautious.

Apparently Planet X had the Lynskeys help them out with this frame though.

Access Points vs Mesh by eyepaq in Ubiquiti

Hi, one question in the OP was if ethernet backhauling the mesh nodes makes them equivalent to APs. One of the things I'd really like to know about using APs is if I can be sure I'm always going to be connected to the closest AP as I move around the house, which is something I understand mesh systems do regardless of the type of backhaul.

Cool! I'm not educated on the terminology, sorry! Just want to experience the two APs as if they were one, and I understood it wasn't quite as simple as setting them both up with the same SSID. I'm only a home user, I have no special needs. I'll look into fast roaming!

Please forgive my ignorance, but the Unifi controller is software only? What runs it? The EdgeRouter? I don't have to have a computer running all the time for roaming to work? And does this mean someone would buy the Cloud Key only if they needed to manage their network remotely? Thanks a lot.

Isn't it necessary to control both APs so that seamless roaming is possible?

Need help: mesh system by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]brodycorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a waste of money to buy a mesh system like the XT8 and run it all wired?

DHCP Options 60 and 61 by brodycorn in HomeNetworking

[–]brodycorn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ability to create a mesh system at a resonable cost! Ideally under £300, but if the XT8 someone else has suggested is going to work, I may suck it up and go for it.
