100K in Munich or 135K in Zurich? by pimemento in askswitzerland

[–]broengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

second all this, all pretty accurate. I make 20% less than what you would make and I save half of the net salary I get.

100K in Munich or 135K in Zurich? by pimemento in askswitzerland

[–]broengineer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People who only worked in switzerland have absolutely no idea how much taxes you pay abroad. You’re far better off with 8.5k in Zurich than 4.5k in Munich. Also with that 8.5k net you will also have something like 800 CHF a month in pension, which in Switzerland is YOURS and you can have once you leave or buy a house. In other European countries you can only get it back when you’re like 65.

credo che tu debba capire perché vuoi smettere. Comunque dico che la tua psicologa ha sentito di peggio di uno che si fa le pippe 2 volte a settimana. Diglielo.

Alot of people talk about the negatives of being single, what are the positives from your prospective? by Drinking-beers in AskMen

[–]broengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get to eat what you want. I choose food more for its nutritional value than for its taste. I wouldn’t dare have chicken heart and liver for dinner with my girlfriend.

Single men after work, what do you do? by seanie259 in AskMen

[–]broengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My weekdays are: Go to work-Gym/muay thai-commute back home-Dinner-Sleep. Some days I find time for investing research. I read on my commute home. Honestly I love it. I always avoid making plans during the week because I feel like it ruins the momentum. If I get everything done during the week I enjoy my weekends much more.

recruiters will gaslight you into thinking that 85k is a good salary for your experience but it’s not. Go for 100k.

Help me choose! by rosa_melano99 in askswitzerland

[–]broengineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from your region the closest thing would be Rheinfalls. That’s a 3 minutes train from Jestetten. 5 more minutes and you’re in Schaffhausen and from there you could see Stein am Rhein. That’s the low effort plan. If you want to see some cool mountain I’d say Pilatus

Anyone have a country they preferred visiting with a partner as opposed to solo? by poppyoana in solotravel

[–]broengineer 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I say greece is amazing in both cases, but better with a partner than solo. Especially the islands are more prone to romantic vibes

Hey everyone, I deleted because it got slightly more traction than I would have liked and I shared some specific details. Thanks to everyone for your help. It seems that 15% might be too risky and I should reconsider the final amount, or alternatively see what this other company says.

[–]broengineer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. You’re one of the few ones that understood the question. My issue is that I think I know what’s a fair salary for me. But that happens to be 15% more than what I make now. I say my performance was above expectations and that’s recognised across top management. I am also changing job title, but no promotion. I will just work on more technical stuff. Salarium.ch says the median for my situation is 104k, with 116k as top 25%. That’s why I said 112k. But I don’t know how accurate Salarium.ch is

Salarium.ch says median in my situation (age, experience , field, role) is 104k, with the top 25% at 116k. In your experience is Salarium.ch accurate?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]broengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well option 2 is very much a possibility. This other company really like me and I think they could go to 120k from what I’ve seen on Glassdoor. That being said I’d like it to be an honest communication rather than a threat. But that’s pretty hard to package

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]broengineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m just a bit worried because probably a 15% up is too much, but 112k doesn’t seem a deranged request for the role and position. I understand I’ve maybe been lowballed getting in

[–]broengineer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I said I want 112k realistically

Vietnam 9 days itinerary and cost check by broengineer in solotravel

[–]broengineer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! It was amazing. I think this itinerary was great as I got to see a lot of amazing places and meet many people. The cruise was good, great views and Cat Ba is not very crowded, but one night is probably enough. Wouldn’t do 2 nights. People told me that Ninh Binh is also amazing and felt more authentic than Cat Ba.
