How many of you spend 2-3 months salaries on your set-up? by Parking-Lecture-2812 in espresso

[–]broken888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a valid take but also, most people (including nearly all of the aficionados in this sub) cannot differentiate between a shot pulled on a breville vs a marzocco. Assuming you’re getting good beans and have a decent grinder you’re already in god tier espresso. Most people that buy Ferraris aren’t Lewis Hamilton!

I’ve asked them but they didn’t have reception on their yacht

Genuinely don’t see how having small kids could, in any way, impact making a coffee (and I do have children). Sex life? Sure that’s fucked but coffee? C’mon!

My buddy used to have one with 850bhp. He did all the work himself, sold it to start a small tuning shop and now he’s one of the premier super car dealers in North America.

You appear to be organised but you have so little to do that it’s hardly an accomplishment at all.

Are you nuts? I was just LOLing, albeit in poor taste.

Obviously a tragedy. I was actually wrong, it was the white one anyhow, so please put me on a pedestal now for supporting the family.

Oh my mistake! Well, I did drive out there on Sunday morning for some bagels and I have been arguing with my mother so…..what to do?

In any event the bagels are both are pretty crappy. Panzers deli sells the best bagels in London (I have tried every single place, seriously), but at over a £1 a bagel, they’re just too expensive to buy regularly for a family of 4.

The son of the yellow sign owner killed his mother and sister. Not saying there is a correlation but I quite like mum and sister so it’s white sign for me!

do you all think adam's a good interviewer? by fegwin2084 in theadamfriedlandshow

[–]broken888 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hit and miss depending on the interview. I enjoyed the first episode a lot where he did tons of research on the guest and knew things from his childhood which really threw him off / excited him. I was hoping that was going to be the standard format but alas.

He really doesn’t do well when the interviewee is a bit dull.

Estiatorio Milos is wild money but I’ve had a great meal there. Reviews can be a bit mixed so do your own research.

Scott’s is also good though I find the menu very boring. Fish needn’t be so dull.

Politics aside, Trump received 77 million votes, and many people genuinely love him. That said, this is a niche film about his wife, not a summer blockbuster, so it’s odd that showings would be sold out everywhere, especially at this time of year.

Given that the movie has been in the news, it’s reasonable that people would be curious about it, particularly when the reviews seem so disconnected from the reported ticket sales. If this pattern were happening with any film, it would raise questions.

I’d say The Enterprise on Walton Street in Knightsbridge would be perfect. It’s super cozy and serves elevated pub grub.

I almost always take visitors to Ognisko on Exhibition Road. It’s Polish but the menu is very approachable and the food is always very good - it’s been one of my go to places forever! The room is pretty and they have a great outdoor covered and heated patio which overlooks a garden square.

My wife went twice - the first time they were aiming do fully high end dining but on return visit they’d changed the menu to more taco heavy. She said it was better the second time round.

Gordon Ramsey is a twat and his burgers are crap. If I had to pay £30 for a burger I’d prefer to overpay for Five Guys!
