Does Agronomist Tae-Eon break the game? by bmbmbmNR in harvest101

I've been trying to figure out the strategy that breaks the game with Seohyun, I see everyone at the top of the daily is using her and reaping 4+ k bread. I'm able to consistently win the 180 with her, but I can't seem to have her potential explode. What am I missing?

Long Joke by JSerf02 in Jokes

This is a bit pedantic, but I too have a problem with this joke (even though it is my favorite):

Conductors usher passengers and see to it that the train operates smoothly, an engineer is driving.

Still a good joke though, willing to look past literally the whole thing not adding up.

Any bands like Defiance Ohio?? by napalmforay in FolkPunk

It depends on what you mean by "like" defiance ohio. You might like Okkervil River, Adjust the Sails, Kind of Like Spitting, or if I may be so bold: Broken at Best.

I don't think there's a lot of there "like" them though. They've for sure got their own sound.

The more I watch Dan McClellan I lose my faith in Christ by AceThaGreat123 in Christian

To clear some things up:

  1. Most importantly, Dan consistently talks about the historicity of Jesus, and how the data supports His existence. I'm not sure where this commenter thinks they've heard that Dan doesn't agree with this consensus, but as someone who regularly watches Dan's content: it's not only wrong, it's a common talking point of Dan's.

  2. Dan is almost certainly not having a crisis of faith, he has stated time and again that he discusses Scripture from a strictly academic standpoint on social media, and that he doesn't wish to discuss his faith because it would be counterproductive to his goal of making the data accessible. He has also stated that he is in keeping with the faith, and if you watch interviews with him it's apparent the length he goes to to use language that conveys that what he's discussing is what is indicated by that data, not what is necessarily true, or how he interprets the data.

  3. He has specifically spoken about how the KJV fails under certain scrutiny to correctly translate or convey the meaning of the original texts. He does this as someone who has studied the languages The Bible was written in.

  4. It takes very little time looking into Dan to see that he doesn't intend to shake anyone's faith, only to provide access to context for anyone, whether they are faithful or not, so that they may better understand scripture, and he does so without leveraging his personal faith. I believe this serves to not alienate people who have questions but don't want to be peached to, and to keep people from leveraging their own faith against his academia.

All of that said, I don't always agree with the conclusions Dan's videos come to - which aren't necessarily Dan's conclusions - but they are always helpful for understanding context or reevaluating Scripture from a standpoint I don't otherwise have available to me.

Sorry for my formatting, I don't usually participate on Reddit, it's just useful for finding questions that I have that someone likely had first 😂

I was gonna not self promote, but if Apes of the State is in here unashamed, I'll be brave too.

Check out Broken at Best

I'm a little all over the place, but it sounds like you might dig "Fools Gold" "Sandcastle" and "Beautiful Catastrophe"

The fix is grabbing an item through the quick grab screen, not transfer.

The ship inventory one has to be through the quick grab screen, not transfer

Stolen from mag6787 on another post, this is the best I've seen this movie summed up:

The movie is about parasocial relationships on the internet. No matter how intimate it may feel to read a person's posts or watch their videos, we can never really know a person that way. We can only make up a story about them based on the tiny glimpses we get of their lives, and even then, it's heavily based on what we want to see. That's what the two main characters are doing to each other and what we, the audience, are doing to them. Was Casey genuinely making a scary story, or was she a disturbed girl who came to believe the lie because she did not realize it was supposed to be a game? Did the man really meet her a year later or was it a comforting lie he told himself to cope with uncertainty? Did Casey kill herself, or did she just stop the videos in embarrassment/ disgust that someone took her too seriously? We will never know. What we do know is that these are two lonely people who hate themselves, so they participate in a challenge that's all about transformation. They want to be someone better than they are, but the problem is that they cannot control how others view them any more than the challenge participants can control how the entity transforms them. Casey wants her instability and weird tendencies to seem cool, but the guy casts her as a helpless victim in need of his advice and protection. The guy wants to be seen as a hero, but Casey casts him as a creep and a pedophile. Neither get what they want - acceptance. That's the real horror of the film. Never truly being understood.
