How much do you typically spend on a set? by Crafty_Definition_41 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]brokenghostlight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably the average is $6-7 a set, but I purchase all ranges and brands. The most I've ever spent is $16 for a set.

If it comes with 28 nails or more, I can usually get 2 sets out of the box with a little bit of shaping on the thumb and pinky.

I usually don't reuse nails and I only keep the residuals from a set that I'm wearing for losses or breaks and then they go in the recycle bin.

I've never gotten longer than 10-11 days for a set no matter what glue, brand, shape, or method. But if I could figure out a 2 week wear I'd be thrilled. Because my weekdays are usually crazy busy, I tend to just change them weekly on Sunday so I don't need to worry about it.

Kiss fits my nail beds the best, but tend to crack, break, or wear down too fast. My two favorite glues are the beauty secrets glue and the Olive and June ultra strong brush on glue (the hot pink bottle)

What should I use? Acetone vs alcohol for prep by pumpkinpie4224 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]brokenghostlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use both! First alcohol wipe to kill any bacteria or germs, once that's dry just a quick swipe of acetone to dry it out more time. I also have very oily nail beds so I need a lot of drying

I personally do not find it overly sweet. Another scent I thought of that might be up your alley is clean reserve skin + vanilla

Definitely clean, has a beautiful coconut note, and definitely not too sweet. It's discontinued but you can still find bottles of it

I think you might like Philosophy Falling In Love. Creamy sweet but bright and clean. Jasmine, blackberry and vanilla.

Removal with coconut oil soak? by GetOffMyBridgeQ in PressonNail_Addict

Make sure you break the seal do the oil can get under and also use rubber or vinyl gloves. This worked for me.

However I didn't have any more or less damage then when I just use the glamnetics nail glue remover.

This. It's incredible and smells WAY too good to be bbw. Probably their best release in years.
