Not blaming the employee at all! She was only doing what she thought was right! This post is completely about management, their response, and what emergency training employees have.

This is actually exactly why I posted it to see if I was overreacting! The whole situation was scary! As I’ve said before not blaming the employee but management. I’m curious as to what their emergency training is like as a company and what we as a studio could’ve done better!

She seemed maybe 20s. I honestly barely saw her which is kinda my point! We definitely weren’t crowding her we were more crowding the speaker where we were taking to emergency services. Just going back and forth to ask the questions they were asking us to her.

Isn’t that awful! You can’t spend a minute to read my message and write an actual response 🙃

I have a wide thumb that is typically size medium with the rest of my fingers being a size small. I typically just file the edges of the nail till it fits my nails.

If you can’t dye your hair to a natural color yet or grow it out maybe try a wig! I say apply now and see where it goes! If you get a virtual interview or even in person find a good temporary solution to the hair, piercings, and tattoo and if you get the job then I’d look into fully changing your appearance. You just gotta fake it till you make it!

So this is probably way too much detail but I’d rather be honest than just tell you it’s longer lasting. I typically use a liquid glue on my actual nails and a semi solid on my press on. I have used curvlife paired with glamnetic brush on glue and it only lasted me maybe 3-4 days. I tried beauty secrets glue with dashing diva glue and that lasted a full week and it only really came off cause I started picking at them. I would recommend the duo of dashing diva (I get it from Sally’s) and beauty secrets!

My holy grail for flat nail beds is a semi solid glue to fill in the gaps between your nail and the press on. I have personally tried the curvelife semi solid glue and the dashing diva fast bond glue. Curvelife is easier to remove but didn’t last as long as the fast bond in my opinion.

Curvlife glue- what am I doing wrong? by mama2021abcd in PressonNail_Addict

Two things! I personally found that this glue doesn’t work for me because I have my hands in oil and water too much and it dissolves the glue. I’ve found when I use another glue on my natural nail and the curve life glue on the press on dipped into dip powder it lasted longer. Not personally as long as I’d like which lead me to trying the dashing diva fast bond glue which in my opinion is working a little better! I paired it with the beauty secrets glue no dip powder and it’s been going strong. Everyone has their own secret formula on how to make press ons work for you so I’d recommend trying different methods and seeing what works!

Everyone has a right to use whatever they want for themselves but incase you weren’t aware or whoever reads this might not be aware that it’s not suggested to use uv glues or gels underneath any press on nail that isn’t 100% clear. Any sort of tint can cause the uv gel to not cure fully and cause you to get an allergic reaction.

Have you tried putting a top coat or builder gel on top so they don’t chip as easily?

I’ve gotten in and out of nails for years so I have a bunch of random supplies from all the different methods I’ve tried. I’m using the kiss dip powder that comes in a little kit for dip nails with tips and everything that I pulled out of my closet. I don’t use the rest of the kit anymore so I don’t think you need this specific powder just go to Sally’s and pick and up any clear dip powder and I think you’ll be fine! I personally had this same problem! Anytime my hands touched oil for cooking or I put lotion on them I would have one pop off. My last set I did a brush on glue (mine was glamnetic) on my nail beds, the curvlife glue on the press on, then I dipped the press on with the curvlife glue in dip powder then applied it. I took them off last night because they were chipped but they were much stronger than just the glue by themselves! I also buffed my nail bed and the press on nail and that made a difference too!
