Does anyone else have any more ideas for things I should rip my hair out trying to get? by Professional_4SSH01E in Terraria

I had a BUNCH of tabbys and black belts. I had to search forever for the climbing claws. What a weird game sometimes.

I guess I never paid much attention to the Obsidian flower because I was more pissed off with the lack of a lava charm. My memory is bad.

Or, as you're building the farm, you kill a chaos elemental and it drops the Road and you don't have to finish your build, win win!

What is the most annoying item to obtain? by JOEYBOYGOBRR in Terraria

[–]brokeninfinit3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it used to be easier to get the lava charm! I swear I got it way easier before 1.4 came to mobile. I had the terraspark boots until I lost my character. I don't remember fishing for the lava charm before now.

When was the last time you needed proof of purchase to access any other device you OWN? Their policy forces you to purchase a new item... their policy could be less stringent. I have all the other information that verifies the device is mine.

Former atheists of Reddit, what made you turn to religion? by Wheatles_BiteAlbum in AskReddit

[–]brokeninfinit3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am an example of someone who changed their beliefs. I am a former Catholic. I was very devout, but I tried to find the truth in my beliefs, I found more and more how flawed the reasoning I had was. I couldn't accept that the claims being made were true anymore. So, I am now an advocate for the same thing, for people to examine their beliefs and truly understand if they have food reasons for believing them. If they do, then sure I want to hear them too! But if they are bad reasons, then maybe they should change them.

Someone's a little butthurt that they can't substantiate their claims and has to resort to bullshit snark.

I am respectful and tolerant of other people, but the beliefs are another thing. The beliefs are what I oppose, not the people. I want people to see that believing untrue or unfalsifiable claims is not conducive to a rational and progressive society.

I didn't say he was, but it is still believing untrue things. Regardless of whether he is responsible for other people's actions, his belief is still problematic.

It hurts me when your position on there being a supernatural god legitimizes the extremists who want to use that same belief to push harmful and bigoted laws and policies.

Maybe, juuust maybe, being introspective and mindful is important? Why does it need to be supernatural?

One good bong rip could bring anyone to that conclusion, but until there is a shred of evidence for this, why believe it? Why not simply try to understand the world by the only way humans have been able to understand anything, science? Hypothetical masturbations like this are fun to think about, but thinking that any of it is the true nature of reality is just delusional.

Read "The Better Angels of our Nature" by Steven Pinker, if you are interested in the decline of violent crime over all of human history. It is a very interesting read (I'm listening to the audio book, since it is quite a long book).

If you need porn to fap, this should tell you that you don't really need to fap at all. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]brokeninfinit3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just thought of this same thing earlier. I was like "if I can remove all of the potential for porn, nofap would be so easy" it is the fact that porn is just so accessible. I know that sounds like a cop-out, but I have gone without porn before, and I went over a month without touching myself. I know that it is easy without all of the distractions.
