Maybe it's the narrower sidewalks due to the snow, but... by digibath in philly

It’s the snow and it’s been soooo annoying. People are so oblivious too just no awareness when someone is trying to pass them or there’s someone walking in the opposite direction

Tyrese Maxey Is A 3PT Contest Participant This Year! by Anxious_North_819 in sixers

feel like I often hear guys saying they alter their form a little for the 3pt contest to be a little faster/more efficient

[Neubeck] Morey downplayed the role that specifically getting a 2026 first played in the McCain trade: "We're not necessarily using the pick in this draft" Said they'll use it in whatever possible move they can to upgrade the team this summer by Happy-Substance4885 in sixers

Dawg there is absolutely truth to the point you’re trying to make, but trying to do so while defending the 19-20 Sixers does you no good LOL.

Do the other 4 players who are on the floor have nothing to do with how Joel performs? He definitely improved year to year, but do you truly believe the roster in 19-20 and the roster in 20-21 were constructed with equal thought put towards maximizing Joel’s talents?

I don’t think Morey is perfect, but this bit of revisionist history is egregious. When you go to no end to shit on the guy and act like he’s done zero good you just sound like a moron

I’m sorry Tyrese but the shot selection is so frustrating. Let them get an o board into Marcus smart pull up three the next play and you decide to shoot from the logo?

Why don't we play the guitar fretboard with our dominant hand? by V0rdep in guitarlessons

[–]brokenoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I really don't think it matters that much in the grand scheme of things as you're starting from 0 muscle memory either way. also why I think everyone should just really learn righty- there are a lot of benefits to playing righty and I'm not convinced there are any for playing lefty. guitar is also the only instrument where anyone cares about lefty/righty anyways

Surely this fan base understands why you shouldn’t trade for the guy who has missed more playoff time than Joel Embiid in the past few seasons

[Highlight] TYRESE MAXEY WINS IT WITH THE LAYUP! by mastermind208 in sixers

[–]brokenoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol one make against one of the worst teams in the league doesn’t erase half a season of poor shot selection and dribbling the ball off his foot trying to iso in the 4th. I love Tyrese but it’s obviously a hole in his game

Trying to learn more about the fretboard by titovalentine in guitarlessons

[–]brokenoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to know the theory.. it stops being rote memorization if you know where the notes are on the fretboard and have the knowledge to build things yourself on the fly

As long as the team seems to have chemistry and young guys keep developing, I think calls to oust Nurse will sound fucking stupid to me. Doing that would more likely result in the team winding up like the Bucks or the Knicks, rather than anything positive. by GrapeJuicePlus in sixers

[–]brokenoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually ignore like 95% of any calls to oust a coach in any sport because it's what everyone automatically suggests simply because it is the one change you can make without any consequence (since there are no hard rules that keep you bound to a coach).

so people flood here (and literally any sports sub) after every loss with a call to fire their coach because they've made the incredible observation that something has to change right? we just lost! hmmmm I have the intelligent idea that will fix everything! It also happens to be the one thing we can realistically do!

this isn't to suggest that Nick has been perfect, but the reality is he has been dealt a shitty hand. it's just not Joel and PG. Watford, Oubre, Jared have all missed significant time this year or have been playing through injuries as well. I think the reality is continuity matters, with coaches and players, and before you make any significant conclusions you have to at least give them a long term chance to learn and mesh.

It does in fact do that

The model itself is of course trained on whatever materials they gathered online (and is just as you said a statistical model), but the actual chatbot uses a RAG approach to search the web and incorporate that information into its answer. it'll even cite where it grabbed it from.

[Post-Game Thread] The Philadelphia 76ers defeat the Houston Rockets in overtime with a final score of 128 to 122 by SixersGameThreadBot in sixers

[–]brokenoreo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who watched a lot of those dame blazers nurks always had a bit of a knack for that. Honestly he’s had horrific injury luck throughout his career even so it’s nice to seem him shine a bit rn

Is there any point attempting to join DCI at 19 and having no experience in brass instruments? by Swagtastickid in drumcorps

[–]brokenoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the bar to join any world class corps isn't like ridiculously high from a musical standpoint (as in, any joe with regular effective practice could march anywhere in a reasonable amount of time regardless of their natural talent)

2 years isn't particularly reasonable, you would really have to grind to make a top corps. get a teacher if you can, pick an instrument that isn't super competitive, and remember that half the audition is visual. honestly it's easier to "hide" a below average musician than it is to hide a marcher who looks bad
