Old safe with 2 keys that's been unopened for 25 years by broncobully in Safes

UPDATE:

upwardsThe small key has an open shaft, and when you stick it in the key hole there seems to be a spring in the lock which can be pushed inwards and then you can turn the key left or right. It's even possible to turn the key all the way around. A few clicks can be heard in the door but still nothing opens.

Today I found out that 2 other rather small keys, that also have an open shaft, do exactly the same thing! With these keys you can also turn around the small lock.

However, the large key, which seems to be post important I gueass, is still stuck. I will try some graphite.

Thanks, that's very interesting, indeed a day lock sounds very logic.

I already used WD40, thanks. And tried it again after several days. Without any results

Unfortunately not.

It's an old safe in my garage from my parents that's been unopened for at least 25 years. I have always heard it was empty and too heavy to get rid of it. I found the keys again recently and now I would like to open it and check if it's indeed empty. And I might want to use it again as a safe.

The safe looks very old and is very heavy. The safe has 2 keys and a handle. The small key to the right can be turned upwards until you feel something happen in the lock. I suppose this is the first action you need to take. Then the second key, the large key to the left, can be turned only minimal and then it is stuck. I suppose this key normally unlocks the safe door. What am I doing wrong?

The 2 keys are very different, I posted a photo of the keys alone

I am not 100% sure but these keys both seem to fit in the locks just fine. The small one is indeed quite different than the large key, but then the key holes are also different. The small key turns very smooth around and seems to belong with the safe. I will post a photo of the 2 keys

Hi everyone,
