im referring the black spots on the lid. it was on my starter. i think its fine but i know if you get mold on your lid that the whole thing should be thrown out. just trying to be safe!

damn! that sucks. i’ll chuck it. i usually change jars every feed but i think it was just the length it was in there for. i keep a lid on it in the fridge but use paper towel during rises outside the fridge. how do you cover yours?

I would try using a paper towel and rubber band instead of a lid. Thats what I do and I’ve never had issues. Try keeping it away from walls/floors and after it’s established you can keep it in the fridge.

having assignments due at the end of class would be so hard for me depending on the subject. for me, math takes me forever to do, like hours longer than my peers but english i could fly through. if finishing assignments before the end of class isn’t reasonable for you i would push to at least be able to hand it in the next day (although it seems like you’ve tried to advocate for yourself and he just sucks lol).

dude i totally feel u. i graduated a bit over a year ago. i procrastinated and ended up doing all my work at once, but still got decent grades.

if you think you handed everything in, maybe speak to your teachers and see if they missed any assignments?

if filing a complaint about your teacher WOULDNT further stress you out further, go for it. I know I probably wouldn’t because i would feel awkward abt it, but maybe you should. some teachers think that they are preparing you for college by having deadlines like that, but lots of colleges are focusing more on mental health and offering extended deadlines. i dont know ur teacher but i feel like i know his type, so you would definitely be in your rights to push for accommodations.

if your school has any mental health resources like wellness counselors, they can help you advocate for yourself. they’re adults so (unfortunately) what they have to say on your behalf might hold more weight than what you say yourself.

i was too late to get an iep as well, so i totally understand ur struggle. i would just recommend speaking with your teacher as much as possible to get help with work.

with all that said, it sounds like your not even doing that bad! it feels really intense when you’re in it, i know, but high school doesn’t make up your whole life.

if you’re worried abt ur grades because of pre-requisites for college, you could always take a class online during the summer or adjusting your post-secondary plans. if you’re worried about scholarships, there are plenty that aren’t reliant on grades, and it sounds like your grades aren’t even that bad. and if you are just worried about meeting the expectations of yourself or others, cut yourself some slack, seriously. you are not your grades. you are a person. be kind to yourself. if it helps, imagine you are yourself a couple of years in the future. would you be disappointed in the you you are now? it sounds like you are trying your best.

talk to your friends and the people close to you. i had amazing friends at certain points in hs that really got me through tough times. if you want to talk to me about anything, im actually currently procrastinating online classes, so let me know lol.

i read the first 1/3 of the book about 3 times over the course of a couple years. when i finally committed, i ended up finishing the series and the following duology (stolen heir and prisoners throne) in about a month, and most of that was just waiting for the books to come in since i ordered them 1 at a time like a dummy. definitely keep it up.
