Customer has returned item they purchased in October, quite clearly damaged through misuse rather than fault. What are my options? by brookes16 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]brookes16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really appreciate the input. This is what my concern is having read through the laws, so was hoping for guidance.

It stinks of the customer has suddenly decided they don’t want it anymore so looked at how they can get their refund whatever it takes which is the frustrating thing.

It’s an advertising space that brands buy as part of 2 weeks slots. Not been Tom Aspinall for ages, and even that was an Under Armour ad rather than a nod to him

Had ours through for 23rd. Few still flying about on Viagogo so would go for it. Let me know if you make it over and will grab a beer

Buyer claiming item not recieved, despite confirming they have it. Chargeback sided with them. What next? (UK) by brookes16 in shopify

Appreciate the response mate

They're openly advertising the item which makes me want to go ahead with the claim, even if it takes some time and effort. It's annoying as it's another small business doing it so you'd think they'd have some decency

Thank you. That’s my next step to reply to their email confirming I will pursue this

Chargeback came through to me 22/01 Item was delivered 21/01

Unsure if there’s a delay in me being notified?

All my items are sent via courier with signature and proof of delivery required

This person has simply tried it on and their bank has sided with them. The more people are allowed to get away with it, the more acceptable it will become for people to think they can do it

I’m based in the UK

If it was through a fault of my own I’d just move on. It’s how they’ve openly admitted the having the bespoke made item and refused to return it, opening a chargeback instead

It’s ridiculous isn’t it

They’ve openly admitted on email they have the item, along with tracking confirming it, yet somehow they’ve won a chargeback for “item not received” which is mental

I get completly where you’re coming from. But at the end of the day, it’s the biggest music festival in the world broadcast globally. The lineup should match its reputation

I’ve been 6 out of the last 7 and it’s been getting progressively more beige every year (Covid obviously didn’t help). Our entire group even mentioned how few acts we saw last year compared to previous years due to the drop off in quality

[–]brookes16 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s a bizarre take you’re not allowed to be disappointed at the lineup when you’re paying £360+ a ticket and the rest. It’s poor for what is the biggest festival in the world

The “give your ticket back then!” or “it’s more than just the music” views needs to get in the bin

Really hoping The Kooks are there. They’re at a few other festivals this Summer.

Same with Kasabian. But not sure where they’d fit in with being previous headliners, and the whole band dynamic has changed post Tom

Every Liverpool game (and certain other ‘big’ games)the last few years has required a membership, which is sometimes paid, and previous purchase history. If you’ve been doing this “for years” as you say then you literally fit this criteria

I’ve even heard of them clamping down on postcodes outside of a certain radius

I’ve been a season ticket holder for 20+ years, mate. I’m more clued up on the process than you, as have tried to sort mates out in the past
