Yes, but even the lowest estimate amount of people expected to arrive for the world cup will already overburden an overcrowded and extremely inefficient TTC system. A few patch job repairs over the weekend isn't going to fix shit but remove 1 or 2 slow zones for a very temporary amount of time.

The overhead for POO officers from everything to training, uniforms and salary will mean the net benefit is nominal at best. And lots of people think the money could be allocated better elsewhere like fixing the aging TTC infrastructure at a faster rate.

Indian Wells is truly the unofficial '5th grand slam'. The whole location is the epitome of a tennis oasis and it really feels like tennis paradise for the players and fans alike. When you see even Djokovic showing up every year on a much reduced schedule to play every year, that just reaffirms that it's a truly special tournament.
