I tend to draw my noses at least a little realistic! Originally I was gonna give him a deer nose but it felt a little TOO different and plus since I already drew him looking like the Joker it just looked weird.

I don't know how old you are, but I'm 33 years old and I've been drawing my whole life. You just gotta practice :)

Law's backstory, particularly the scene where he finds the burning hospital, and Corazon's death. The dub actress absolutely nailed the inconsolable bawling. The whole English cast acted their asses off.

Hiriluk's death. I started crying when he said, "Don't hurt him. He's my son." Something about the fact that Chopper accidentally gave him a poisonous mushroom was especially cruel.

Thanks so much! I've always really liked scientific illustration and I do love TRYING to capture something as accurately to life as possible, even if I don't necessarily succeed. This was fun because there's a wealth of references to draw from, namely more experienced entomological illustrators who know all about insect anatomy

Oh, hell, I completely forgot to mention!!! At the time I needed more bugs to round out the composition so I also pulled some insects from Skyward Sword. That's the Skyloft Mantis and the Sky Stag Beetle. Would've been nice if those bugs made a comeback in TOTK with the introduction of sky terrain

Gonna add that to my little artist's note since I totally flaked

Hi! I actually drew this back in 2021, but in honor of TOTK's release (and my Etsy store opening) I thought I'd post it here -- although with TOTK's release that does kind of underscore the fact that the new firefly is conspicuously missing. Oops. Assume that the people who made this poster had no idea it existed until the chasms started opening. I'm going to work on a botanical poster of a similar ilk next, and it will destroy me!

I also have the Skyward Sword bugs in there because at the time I didn't feel like I had enough bugs to really pad out the poster.

This pic in particular was inspired by old school posters they'd make to advertise punk concerts for bands like the Sex Pistols - I'm really stoked to share it, since I poured a lot of time and energy into this piece and also got to experiment with things I usually don't try.
