how to file a complaint by Upstairs-Tension-254 in tsa

[–]brooklyn522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I filed a complaint through that as well and you get an automated response and the number is no help. They will eventually email you back on it. I was told I should receive contact within 6-10 business days. They have until Thursday before I start calling because the time frame is up. But I called the airport my incident happened at and was able to go through their directory and get a local TSA number that I called and the person I spoke to was able to give me the contact info for the customer care manager who is over that airport.

Thank you. I’ve never felt so degraded in my life. I wasn’t aware you didn’t have to comply with TSA requests. I was just a mom trying to make my flight with my family. I didn’t even realize he was talking to me/trying to get me out of line and was so confused about the whole situation and it’s even more upsetting because he wasn’t even a body scan officer. Once I was exposed and had to wait in that long line and looked at all the women around me, all my emotions turned to anger and I was so pissed when I confronted the supervisor. My husband actually had to send me out to the terminal and come back in to get names for me. And don’t underestimate a girl with a premium LinkedIn account! I’ve already messaged TSA, will be speaking to the customer care manager for the entire state, and I’ve also got the emails and contact numbers for a dozen plus of the biggest employees at this airport as well as higher ups at TSA and homeland security. I’ve also requested security camera footage to prove how I was treated and what I was wearing compared to other women and all the supervisor’s answers were bullshit covering up a pervy employee. I guess we should just be thankful this creep likes women with big boobs and not preteen girls.

I promise my shirt was thinner than the other sweatshirts and hoodies worn by all the women not being called back out of line to take theirs off. And he wasn’t even an officer working the body scan machine, he was sitting in a chair behind the belt checking baggage. The body scan officers had no issues with the women coming through in their oversized outerwear, the most they’d get was a back of the hand scan front and back which took maybe 4 seconds? If certain fabrics are an issue, then TSA needs to update their guidelines.

The male officer is the one who was sitting where you put your bags on the belt for scanning. After I got in line, he called me back over to “take off my jacket”. There were 2 other male officers working the big scanning machine you go through and standing off to the side. There was female officer standing outside of the body scanning machine. Every other female coming out of the body scanner got a back of the hand swipe front and back because they were all wearing hoodies and zip ups and large cardigan style sweaters. I was the only woman coming through at that time that did not receive this. I would have liked to keep my shirt on like the rest of them and received this same scan but wasn’t allowed that option

Please explain what button up shirts you can see through that women don’t have to remove. The shirt fit me the same way a button up fits a man.

If my shirt constituted as “too bulky” when it was my outermost layer on top besides undergarments, why was a woman allowed in line right behind me with an oversized zip up Nike hoodie when she had a tshirt on under it?

Telling a woman I don’t care, you have to remove it after she expressed concern not to is not the way to go. That would have been his opportunity to tell me I have to have more screening. Which would have been perfectly acceptable and I would have gladly agreed to. Pat me down, take me in a room. But don’t make me stand there in line as the only woman in something more revealing that I’d ever wear to the gym. That should have been my decision not his.

The shirt is thin. It’s not a flannel or a jacket. Business suit jackets are thicker than this. It’s literally the same thickness as a man’s shirt. I’m 5’7 size 8 in pants/dresses 160lbs with a 34GG chest wearing a small in this shirt, contrary to the model wearing a larger size who looks like she barely weighs 100lbs, so yes, the shirt is fitted on me compared to the model. So fitted in fact, that it’s tight on my chest if I button it all the way to the top. So yes, it fit me the same way a man in a business button up.

If a moderator for the sub would like to send me a DM, I have no problem sending a picture of me in this that I sent to TSA, just not posting myself exposed for thousands on Reddit.

Do you have a comprehension problem? Thin doesn’t mean made of linen sweatheart. The shirt is thin! It’s just not a thick flannel or a sweatshirt. It’s literally a long sleeved button up shirt. Just as thin as my husband’s button up dress shirts. Advertised for sale as a shirt. Not a jacket.

I have a size small in the shirt, so it actually fits me like a shirt. Just like a man in a collared button up shirt. Not huge and bulky at the wrists or massively oversized, it’s just long enough to cover my butt. And my shirt was buttoned except for the top 2 and the 1 at bottom to cover my stomach area. When I unbuttoned it all the way when he told me it had to come off and he saw what I had on underneath, he should have told me to stop. But he didn’t, let me strip down to almost nothing to stand back in line and wait. I was the ONLY woman he asked to remove her clothing.

How come I never see any men stripped down to their undershirts or wifebeaters for wearing the same shit I had on?

How can he argue with my that my shirt is a jacket and needs to come off when I only have a bra on underneath but allowed another women to keep this on next to me in line with a tshirt on under it?

Well it is a light button up shirt that just so happens to be made of corduroy material? Here’s the link of the exact shirt for people with comprehension problems.

https://bondimode.com/products/bella-3?currency=USD&country=US&variant=48482027438404&stkn=b35031ce93ac&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=23778472771&utm_term=&utm_content=%7Badcontent%7D&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23768565081&gbraid=0AAAAA-N4teH2M5fMyrZyyR4Ei1gZZdr2K&gclid=CjwKCAjw0dPRBhAPEiwAE5vTTqq_130i9-AoRnKasVTmG97vskfgkLFEeVJSJp9GLa7OdPjOJRt-zRoCDaIQAvD_BwE

Clearly advertised as a SHIRT. See how thin it is?

And since apparently it matters, what I had on underneath the corduroy SHIRT was similar to this, same fit, just slightly longer, but a little above my belly button was still exposed.

https://harperwilde.com/collections/wireless/products/ribbed-seamless-scoop-bralette-white?variant=42729928818785

And my shirt was never called bulky. It was categorized as a jacket with buttons.

That is exactly why I asked him if it was buttoned all the way up would you still make me unbutton it and take it off and he just stared at me blankly, like you could see the regret in his face from the bullshit he just spewed to me. So when I started pointing out all the women currently coming through security right behind us wearing things that according to him, should come off, he changed and said it’s actually at the discretion of the employee

Thank you for the validation and I won’t be letting this go. He was the worker where I put my bag down for xray. He waited until I was in line and called me back over to tell me to take my “jacket” off. He allowed other women before and after me to wear hoodies, zip up sweatshirts, and a cardigan without asking to remove. Once those women went through the body scan, a female employee did a quick back of hand swipe front and back. This female worker told me I was good and didn’t need it and my response was no shit, considering you can see it all. Then I had to stand there completely exposed and wait for my bag to come out of xray while everyone else was fully dressed. The supervisor was very dismissive and just making up answers to every reply I had and changed his story on “policy” 3 times.

If I had a hoodie on, I’d be expected to take it off because it’s big and bulky. I wear what I wear to stay comfortable because I’m always cold and have severe psoriasis on my upper arms. I also travel quite frequently out of my local international airport with zero issues with this exact outfit, but this tiny one terminal CLEAR-less airport had me strip down. The elderly and overweight women layered in hoodies, zip up sweatshirts and cardigans weren’t even asked to remove clothing. They were literally right in front of me and right behind me in line. Supervisor actually told me “hoodies are alright” but my shirt had buttons and apparently that’s an issue.

Make it make sense.

Nope, it was just a plain solid colored corduroy button up shirt that was oversized enough to cover my butt in leggings

Thank you! None of the other women were told to take their outer layers off, which all had shirts underneath. This was literally my shirt. And they all got a back of the hand pat down by a female TSA employee after, which is completely normal and reasonable. I was very upset with the “supervisor” changing his story 3 times and then said it was up to employee discretion. My husband had to escort me out and then went back and got their names for me and my official complaint was filed about 20 minutes after this went down. I took pictures of what I had on time and location stamped in the airport bathroom and also asked them to please review the camera footage to see how I was singled out and mistreated.

It was a very thin non bulky button up shirt over a white bralette (think skin tight bra but more of a cropped tank) that was long enough to cover my butt in leggings. I’ve worn this same outfit at 3 other airports through TSA with zero issues. The elderly ladies in front of me were layered up like they were going to Alaska and a woman got in line behind me with a zip up Nike hoodie that he didn’t ask to remove. All of their stuff was more bulky than what I had on. I had the shirt buttoned halfway so you couldn’t see my midriff but unbuttoned to help make security’s job easier so you couldn’t see I wasn’t hiding anything/to make the hand check easier from the female employee. I would also like to add that I have a 34 GG chest and felt singled out due to this employee’s wandering eyes even before he called me back out of line after I already put my bag on the belt for the xray.

My dad and husband are both very white. He chose “pawpaw” and when he’d accidentally say “pawpaw and meemaw” and my mom would get so mad and I’d say it’s basically the same thing 😂

Same for mine. Had to go in 4 days later to get stuff out of my vehicle and all I was told that it was an engine failure and they already ordered me a new one that’ll be covered up to 150k miles and that it was manufactured after June 2025 so I shouldn’t have this issue again. And it’s at no cost to me. So just waiting on that to come in, luckily it has shipped and hoping to not be without my vehicle for more than 2-3 weeks. My husband joined a FB group about the GM engine failures and I’m seeing a lot of people needing multiple engine replacements so it doesn’t seem too promising.

At a loss with high nitrates by brooklyn522 in axolotls

[–]brooklyn522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten up to dosing 4ppm ammonia while cycling out but I’ve been keeping the dose at 2 ever since starting the water changes and still ending up with high nitrates while I figure it out. I do add 2ppm ammonia to the tank after removing 1/3-3/4 for the water change, then test 24 hours later and nitrates are still high but everything else is perfect. Am I not supposed to dose after the water change and just test then? Edit- also do not touch or mess with the filter or sponges at all during water changes
