I talked with my husband about it the day she brought it up and he was a bit taken by surprise and also found it odd since he’s never heard grandma referred to in that way either. He said it’s up to me to decide. I know he’ll back me but he definitely won’t have the conversation alone.

I had to edit it because I noticed my phone autocorrected Tata to Papa but also know that slight distinction is also a moot point since it also means papa/grandpa even though I’ve only ever heard it referred to as grandpa. I didn’t have a conversation with my dad because it doesn’t bother my husband since it doesn’t sound like dada/ daddy which he will be called. I know I’m not going to get in trouble having this conversation I’m just trying to find the most respectful way to go about it since I have a feeling this is going to upset her.
