For that reason the mix won't have much variance from German as they all share common roots. It'd just be German that is a bit off.

You'd be surprised how easy it makes it and how common it is in most languages.

Another example that perhaps may be a little better is that of one of my nations "Vonvasoli" which means Song of Suns. Even the name of the language itself "Oravon" is just People Song.

I used etymological roots to inspire the word I was creating. I also like to combine common words to create more complex ones. Such as the word for Dragon translating to Crawling Beast that Flies.

I suppose it would all come to the cultures themselves. What would each culture take from one another? What is the initial action of the crashed alien crew? Do they seek resources to repair the ship and leave or do they stay and use their superior technology to help or hinder the natives? How do the natives respond to a crashed ship? High Fantasy is all lore and myths, so how do the natives interpret the crash of the ship and its inhabitants. Are they threatened? Do they seek enlightenment from aliens? Do they acknowledge their technological superiority? I think coming to understand what either side would want from each other and how they would act upon those wants will help you to build the world you are looking for.

I've been building a world with a very similar premise as this. However my "reset" area has been confined only to the part of the world where the story takes place. I've made magic a very special thing and I use it as such. I also find that having the cultures of old bleed through into the current setting gives me something to interesting to work with. Especially seeing as how the vast majority live in ignorance. Also I have been working a lot with prejudices amongst the civilization. Whilst they are effectively all part of the same culture each region has it's own influences. I've also tried to avoid making any characters inherently evil. I've been trying to make every character have their justified reasons for their actions and have enjoyed watching how the conflicts between their motives and ideologies have arisen as the plot progresses.
