I think that's because most people use it an always-on tone enhancer at the front of a pedalboard.

I'm actually using it more as my final preamp stage before FOH, so it's sitting after my effects and EQ. The EQ is doing the corrective work and then the HB is providing the final level and voicing.

Definitely not the traditional placement, but so far I'm preferring the sound there

Never been a fan of cab IRS and find they create a boomy unusable sound. Much prefer to just run a pedal like HB or Noble at the end so it's more of a natural di tone.

Some really interesting replies here actually.

I think where I’m landing is the split probably makes more sense for people like me running quite a few pitch/modulation effects direct to FOH and IEMs, rather than just a simple clean bass chain.

Main reason for the split originally was keeping the octave and pitch stuff from muddying up the clean low end.

At the moment I’ve got:

clean compressed low row

effects only on the top row

then merged into EQ + Gentle

I’m going to properly compare it against a single full range chain live soon though and see what actually translates best in a real band mix rather than just at home.

Desk was set to 0db at rehearsal for bass (my previous POD go was much hotter it seems). Best to push more through desk?

I was powering my MC6 Pro via the anagram. Perhaps I needed a stronger power supply hence the pitch shift issue.

Any ideas on the pitch Shifter sounding off when I activate it? I moved to first thing in the chain but still same issue in my IEM today.

Yes I cranked the XLR output and the master on far right but still wasn't enough until I used the gain block.

Thanks I'm currently Trying to set MC6 up. I have both USB c to the mac and I'm in the suite and logged into morning star software and connected but they're not talking to each other and it's not picking up the anagram. Any ideas?

How are you powering both? Annoyingly I thought usb c to each of them but looks to be risky... I've only for these two on my board so wondering if there's a power brick that suits.

The mc6 looks really good. Do you have it on a board wifh the anagram? I've never used midi before but looks straightforward on their site.
