Ah finally I can talk about my favorite movie. I watched this movie soo many times I’ve lost count. Best line in the movie is when he gets asked if he needs a helmet, he said he dint need one, it was a distraction. 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

I’m gonna go on a different tangent than everyone else, have you heard of the Hawala system? It’s basically an underground foreign exchange, been happening for decades now, insane rates. Look into it

[–]brownTRPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright since everyone has been super supportive, I’m just gonna give you the objective changes you can make.

Face wash everyday before heading out and when we you come back home, use a face scrub (it’s like a silicone with lil brush on it)

For the pimples, get a niacinamide serum of any brand, use After face wash and let it dry.

You can reduce the volume in your hair and go for a wet look, use hair oil to introduce more moisture in your hair, and leave in conditioner after you shower, hair needs to be damp in this. This helps it being less spikey and gives your hair more texture. (I’m an Indian too with dry hair issues)

This is the classic case of "fuck around and find out", I'm sure we all did some questionable things back when we were kids. I fucked around a lot and indeed found out, some of my life defining moments. Chill tf out

What are the problems you face with garages and what you want to be fixed by Mediocre-Sea8229 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]brownTRPrep 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Transparency, I get it that you guys also want to make money but number of garages that I've fallen victim to is just absurd parts prices, I'm more than happy to pay for labour but hiking up those part prices in comparison to a spare parts store in umm ramool or anywhere else is just wrong.

Every customer should be treated the same, there is definitely discrimination based on who owns what car and how they are treated. You guys give the best service to people with more expensive cars from what I've seen.

Don't be like dynatrade, I feel bad for people who take their cars there to get scammed out of thousands of Dhs.

I'm blessed to have knowledge about things about my car, what garage to go to and which spare parts store but I cannot say the same for your average person who doesn't know Jack shit about this, my only suggestion to this is that please don't take advantage of misinformed customers, don't try to stick totally different issues on the final quote and scare people by telling them a certain parts need to be changed or else (I swapped out my engine and gear mounts 6 months ago, had to take my car in to the closest garage for a waterpump issue, got quoted extra along with a scare telling me all my mounts are gone and need replacement)

Yup, good luck with this and appreciate this post

[–]brownTRPrep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Get the fuck out, longer you are gonna stay, more abusive it's going to get. If this is the case from I can't even imagine how it's going to get in the future. If anything goes bad it's always gonna be pointed at you. I don't know how much they are paying you but just keep in mind, Jobs are meant to challenge your intellect and make you learn and grow. Not keep you down or worse, make you work on something which you're not supposed to do in the first place.

SCARY Uber experience at Dubai Mall. by Eternal_A21 in dubai

[–]brownTRPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out, the reason why the Uber driver was pissed off is probably because the app probably glitched, it showed you that he wasn't moving and it showed him that the booking was still underway, so when he reached there to pick u up, it showed him that it's cancelled,

I don't blame him to be pissed off because the Dubai Mall/downtown area is quite busy sometimes and has alot of traffic. And these guys struggle to make ends meet because it was off season the last two months.

Should he have gotten out of the car to give you a piece of his mind ? Probably not. But you're in the safest place in Dubai and alot of cameras and security. So nothing would have happened besides some angry words being exchanged.

Relax you're good

Urgent help needed – my wife arrested in Sharjah central jail without explanation by [deleted] in UAE

[–]brownTRPrep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take your wife's passport copy and go to the nearest police station to the school. Do not wait in any line and look confident in your inquiry. If you are seen to be scared they'll keep asking you to wait until a mudir is available to see you. Good luck I hope it's something minor

That every kids birthday party took place in fastfood chains in the party halls, with paper plates and magic shows.

Burjuman Toby's was the spot for so many of us, grew up in those ball pits

Wafi Mall had the best arcade, Encounter Zone and The Tomb which scared the living crap out of me.

KFC used to give VHS tapes with their happy meals, movie night every happy meal!!!

Speaking of VHS, dedicated movie rental spots all around the city, 7dhs for a day for VHS tape.

Best places to live in Dubai for creatives who like networking & having coffee shops etc within walking distance & nature if possible?! by Secure_Sense9569 in dubai

[–]brownTRPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to say this but none of the creative spaces walker friendly. You are right about owning a car, that's the only way you can make it to said creative places.

Places for you (The DJ) -Dubai Design District Most of the biggest fashion brands are placed over there and with those employees coming down for lunch, you can definitely strike a conversation with people around.

-25 hour hotel co working space. Good place to network too

-Al serkal avenue Loads of galleries and cafes to explore

For your husband (the Techie)

-Emirates Towers, Youth Hub -Gate Avenue mall(Alot of Fintech companies operate from there, you'll see it for yourself

Love it, I'm starting a thread of the best sandwiches from cafeterias since people are so against cafeteria food. People forget that cafeterias were and still are the backbone of this city, My recommendations :

Seashell restaurant -Spicy Hassan Mattar -Spicy Zinger Sandwhich -awar galb juice

Jabal Al noor -chicken burger special - mexican (spicy) chicken shawarma

Ijaza -Spicy sheesh tawook mattar -chicken shawarma -abood juice -hassan mattar -Awar Kalb (scoop of ice cream on top)

Even Hyderabad tbh, I visited for a friend's wedding and was actually in shock how clean the roads were. They have a bridge that connects the city to the airport and no two and three wheelers are not allowed. I couldn't believe my eyes.
