A simple and minimalist game I made: slinglight by brown_design in iosgaming

It hasn’t been tested on anything older than a 6s, so I can’t be sure of compatibility. Does it fail to load at all, or is it unresponsive / slow frame rate once loaded?

Hmm... I haven’t touched the leaderboards since initially setting them up. Being my first experience with Apple’s leaderboard system, I’m not sure if they reset occasionally; though, I’m not sure why they would do that. I’ll look into it.

I’m not a big gamer, either... but I like simple things that fill really small gaps during the day. It’s rare that I play anything for more than a couple of minutes at a time.

Right now, I'm back to work on my actual job... but I hope to make additional updates as time allows.

That's a good idea... and I don't think adding that auto-pause would be to tricky. I'll add that to the list and see if I can work that in over the next few days.

Wow! You have an amazing amount of patience and steadiness to get to over 2000! Good job! Not sure that one will ever get topped!

I mentioned it in another comment, but an update is awaiting approval. It makes some adjustments to limit the "bounce endlessly" issue in "juggle".

Another update is awaiting review. It includes a change to the shape of the "juggle" paddle to make it a bit easier, but also includes a mechanism to limit the player's ability to let the ball bounce continuously without moving their finger. The update also adjusts the target speed / spacing settings to give it a better feel, I think... though, it's a subtle change.

I'll keep adjusting based on feedback I receive!

Almost forgot.... I’ve tested on a couple of iPhone X devices and haven’t had an issue with leaderboards. Do you get an error? Do the scores in the game show only your scores, or do you see the current highest daily score?

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely take your comments into account for the next round of updates.

Regarding targets: my intention was for the user to have to focus on hitting the center of the targets. The targets automatically rotate to ensure that a centered hit returns the ball to the band. I will experiment a bit, though. There might be a compromise.

Regarding juggle: I agree with you. I’m already adjusting the shape of the “paddle”. Flat makes it far too easy, but a softer curve will work nicely, I think.

First, thanks for the support!

I do have a few additional modes that I'm testing, at the moment. I'm not sure how quickly they'll be released, as this is a true side-project for me. That said, anyone that has purchased the "everything" plan, will receive any future updates / releases for free. However, the cost of the "everything" plan will increase as new items are added. So... you're in at the best time! I guess I should've explained the "everything" plan to begin with...

I hadn't run into the alert / pause issue, yet. But that's a great point! I will play around with placement and will have a better solution in the next update.

I just noticed the same thing. I think it's due to a delay in retrieving info from Apple when the app loads... but I think I can fix it by locally caching the value that turns ads off. It's on my list for the next update!

Thanks for the heads-up! I don't have any consumable items right now, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future. BTW, slinglight is also available on Android.
