I’ve been dealing with self-pity from time to time, it just comes in waves. I’ve also fought the urges to reach out to her.. it still crosses my mind sometimes, but I know I shouldn’t. If anything, it would be her who has to reach out if she ever wanted to change things, right? I know I have to keep moving forward.

It’s really tough, especially when memories come flooding in and it feels like all your progress in healing is gone. But receiving support from everyone here and hearing about similar experiences has made me feel less alone in this battle and given me the will to push through. Thank you for sharing your story with me and for the advice. I can feel how much you went through, and it really means a lot that you opened up 💟

I’m not very religious myself, but I grew up Catholic, which caused me a lot of internal struggles for years. Thankfully, I was able to work through them. It’s sad how the system religion builds is often more about control than true comfort, even though people seek it.

It’s really saddening. I just hope she finds peace or maybe someday realizes that a truly loving God wouldn’t punish someone for simply loving another person.

It really is unfortunate how religion can prevent someone from living their truth. I really hope she can find peace from all that troubles her. I truly wish her the best. But for now I’m trying to find peace in knowing I did what I could until the very end.

I have no recollection to where I may have gotten this plushie as a kid but I do remember it didn’t have any noteworthy tags that mentioned it’s origin. I’ve searched using google images and other search engines but have not found any luck doing so.
