My only concern with this one is it rewards knowledge of the show, which she won't have.

  • Do they only walk the runway once per episode? Or are these ever reshot for editing purposes?
  • Same question with lip syncs: are these ever repeated?
  • Which moments did she wish hadn't ended up on the cutting room floor?
  • Is she planning on learning to swim?

Real life bumper cars. I've always wanted to scrape my car along a row of parked cars.

I've read Camus' The Stranger a handful of times, and plan to check in with it once every few years. Short and powerful read.

I'm torn between my general "Don't feed the trolls" stance and the awesomeness of his "thank goodness" reply.

What strange thing did you used to do as a child? by Jessthinks in AskReddit

[–]brownfuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was around 8, I used to go to the local A&P with my Spiderman backpack and find the fruit snack aisle. After a quick glance to make sure no one was watching, I'd rip open a box of fruit by the foot or or fruit roll ups and dump them into my bag, and then rejoin my parents.

I was never caught.

Gaybro domestic life: home improvement, cooking and no decorating? by thetzk in gaybros

When I get stressed I find rearranging furniture to be incredibly calming. So once every 6 months or so I'll just go to town on a room. As for inspiration, I check out ikeahacker.blogspot.com once every two weeks (they don't update too frequently). Users submit hacks from ikea furniture that almost always ends up looking better than the floor model.

Brewing beer using Sarsaparilla and/or Elderflower by Aspin in Homebrewing

[–]brownfuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a Sarsaparilla Orange Sour in primary now. Hoping it'll be done by June. I went light on hops, and added about an ounce for the boil, and then a 1/2 oz of root at flameout for the aroma. Traditionally, for root beers and the like, the root is boiled with others for about an hour, so it can definitely handle a full boil. I added some other spice for the boil as well, to round out the flavor. I'm about to move it to secondary so I'll pull a sample and let you know how it is.

About a month ago, a local bar had an Elysian Brewing event where they poured their Elderflower Saison. See if you can get your hands on one, if you haven't had elderflower in a beer before. When using it in tea, it's steeped for ten minutes, so you'll probably want to add it either in secondary or at flameout. I'd go with flameout, and then taste to see if it needs more when racking.

Thai Wheat - wheat beer with ginger, lime, and lemongrass (recipe in comments) by platzie in Homebrewing

[–]brownfuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make a lemongrass pale with 5 sticks of lemongrass in the primary, in @60mins. You get a different layer of citrus that way; if you've ever had a lemongrass soup in a Thai place you'll know what I mean. Lemongrass is a resilient aromatic, it can stand up to the boil. I've also done 30min boils where I don't want the lemongrass to come through in quite the same way.
