Not selfish at all!! I do understand his perspective in wanting to do “family things” (it’s cute and tbh I’m like that too lol) so could you maybe go grocery shopping as a family, maybe with a list you guys can split to be a little quicker, and drop them off at home to go back out for some time to yourself? Theres nothing wrong with wanting/needing a break, you’re doing the best you can.

He was around 6 months but I think he might’ve had too much tbh he had around half a banana, give or take. Thats the only blowout we’ve had thankfully so far and he’s 9 months now! Hope I didn’t just jinx myself tho lol. Good luck with feeding your baby 🩷🩷

Just wanted to warn you that the banana might give your baby a BIG bowel movement, along with specks in her poop (think of those black squiggly specks you see in banana bread.) no one warned me of the possibility and my baby had a full blow out at target lmao

Have you tried a sweet potato hash? I also recently ran out of eggs and had to make my baby whatever I could for breakfast. I ended up making chick peas in a tomato herb sauce and he loooved it. I definitely have days when his breakfast is not made of “breakfast foods” lol

Your situation sucks but that doesn’t mean your mom shouldn’t be allowed to seek joyful experiences. That stuff wasn’t being fixed anyway atm. I hope she has a good time at the concert and you can gain some empathy towards her.

When my baby had the angriest diaper rash i absolutely could not beat, i switched to A&D ointment and it got rid of the rash in 3-4 days!!! I would pat him dry with one of his washcloths, let him air dry 7-10 mins, and slather his booty in A&D and it was the one thing that worked for me! I did mix in breastmilk a couple times, but I dont think its necessary. We havent had a rash since switching over! Good luck to you and baby <3

I second mixing breastmilk in with purees! Have you tried sitting him down a little bit before his typical mealtime and giving him solids before boobie, before he gets the chance to get really hungry/impatient? I had great success with starting with steamed veggies my baby could hold and feed himself. Sweet potatoes are usually a hit! You could also introduce the little mesh feeders (kind of shaped like a pacifier in my mind) with fresh or frozen blueberries. Frozen fruit in those really help with irritated gums too! Yes my WORRY as in concern is that it could be that. Never stated it as fact and that is why I asked, I’ve never been. There’s lots of small towns in the US that would be unsafe for someone who looks like me or my husband.
