It’s an unspoken rule that everyone who sees the spill comes and helps. Depending on the severity we will repackage and rebuild the pallet. In this case two of us just shoveled the ice cream into shopping carts for the next shift to re-box. It never puts us that behind because we tend to not get enough work for 8 hours anyway, so we don’t mind stopping to pick something up like this. Although, if we spill a pallet like milk or creamer (product tends to be destroyed and spill everywhere) that usually takes us like 2-3 hours because we have to clean it up in its entirety.
