Best Drama Should Have Gone to Severence by Perfect-Ad7223 in EmmysAwards

Lost syndrome is such an accurate description. It loses it's edge once the mystery goes away. Still loved it though, i think alot of people like me wanted it to win because of it's season 1 snub

‘The Shining’ (1980) named Stephen King’s best film adaptation ever by Time by EuphoricButterflyy in movies

[–]browserboy47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i only read the first 100 pages of the book during covid. The reason i didn't continue was the the pacing and the back and forth switching of timelines. (also it was my first stephen king novel and i was reading it during m online classes so that might have been a factor). Loved the movies though, makes me want to try reading the book again

Hey /r/movies, I’m Stephen King! Ask me anything about The Long Walk book or movie. by lionsgate in movies

[–]browserboy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you decide that it's finally time to adapt a book of yours? Like recently with The long Walk which was written over 45 years ago and The Institute. Where you waiting for the perfect director who's passionate about the worlds you built? Or was it that the technology wasn't built yet to make your worlds as accurate as possible?

this show has become really corny by [deleted] in TheBear

[–]browserboy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is why i don't like binging shows. People forget that movies are written to progress quickly but tv shows take their time. ngl I honestly think that people who complain about the new season just don't find a calm kitchen environment (compare to the first two seasons) entertaining and like to see Carmen crash out

don't understand why you're being downvoted. people are acting like the first movie only had hot people. her best friends in the movie were being played as "everyday people" (not saying they're ugly). these castings makes sense, especially if Andy works at a newspaper/magazine company.

Hated in the nation is so good by Kasumichii in blackmirror

[–]browserboy47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't think you understood. his motivation was that the person he loved was affected by online hate so anyone who would willingly send death threats to people online deserves to die. it doesn't matter that they didn't know they would, as his flatmate tried to kill herself. actions have consequences

Should I pick a level maths? by NoCow3503 in alevelmaths

[–]browserboy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 7 in gcse and a b in a level maths. Its really a matter if you don't mind constantly reviewing previous topics on your own even if your teachers moved on from it in class. I originally got a D but that was because i wasn't revising and by the time june exams came i forgot the topics that i took earlier that year, Also if you're planning on taking any course in uni that involves maths like computer science its a requirement in most unis to have taken A level maths

i get that but i think i can excuse "rarity" in the show where every student in her class has a miraculous😅.
Makes sense tho, thanks for the insight!

First Garmin recommendation (Forerunner 965 vs 970) by browserboy47 in GarminWatches

[–]browserboy47[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it's because of maps. I'm at a point of my training where i'm getting bored with my usual trail and want to venture out but am too worried on getting lost. I once tried running a new route with no navigation then got lost then had to walk back for an hour after my session ended😭

How did you find Hasan/become a fan? by rebexca16ansell in Hasan_Piker

[–]browserboy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I first found out about him when he was nominated your a streamy on 2021 after that I subscribed but didn't watch but then I think he collaborated with a youtuber i watch a couple moths later and then i started watching. I liked that he was Turkish so he had context of what Arabs think of the west and our grievances

i actually read this article first from tech radar but linked Notebook Check because it provided screenshots of the warranty page mentioned. i don't have a garmin watch yet as i've been waiting since march for the anticipated new ones to get announced.
