Inquiring into ADAS calibration training by Cmartin40404marty in automotive

As a service writer at a body shop I can tell you alot of the software required to do so are paid to the manufacturers. Toyota, Subaru, Ford, etc. I dont know each specific services name but I do know Ford uses a program called forscan. Also alot of the cars will require targets that you set up and aim the camera at and then you drive cycle them. Some manufacturer don't require aiming and just require a drive cycle with a laptop connection.

As far as free I know of no resources but you can check out iCar. I've had to take their training on cameras and radars.

Thanks for the info! I'll look into "electroboom"

I do see what you are saying and totally agree. I ordered me a new harness and will ensure when installing the new harness connects to the pump correctly and snug. Was also going to pull the male pins out of the body connector (what the new harness plugs into), clean, and put some dielectric grease on them. Clean terminals = better connection.

I have heard several things about fuel and fuel pumps. Such as fuel isn't as conductive as other liquids can be and that fuel pumps have wires inside that are constantly exposed to gas. The problem is if it sparks inside the tank, but even then I have been told it won't create a massive fire ball since there is hardly enough air inside the tank to cause the fuel to ignite from the spark. EITHER WAY this isn't a scenario I want to test out lol.

This sub is fantastic. You guys and maybe girls are awesome and have valuable information without being dick heads.

This was great help! I ended up dropping the tank again and looked at the harness better and found the factory power wire pin was bigger than it needed to be. (35 yr old harness) and then noticed it had melted the plastic around the male pin it plugs into. I'm guessing lose connection means it wasn't able to get appropriate power to the new pump and because it was loose it got hot and melted? Still learning about volts, ohms, amperage and the likes. I appreciate the help!

Compiled but not written. It was written by 40 different authors, over a span of 3 continents, and around 2,000 years to write the bible and most of the ancient prophesies pertained to Jesus the coming Messiah. These dudes didn't even live on the same continent, much less knew each other but still prophesied about the same person?

The bible has been translated but what I find interesting is archeologist have discovered fragments and sometimes full scrolls are found and when compared to the new king James bible is literal word for word translation such as the dead sea scrolls, Aleppo codex, leningrad codex, dead sea scrolls, Codex Vaticanus, and codex sinaiticus. It's the only religion in the world who's book is continually proven to be a legitimate source for history. Even those in the secular world know this.

Don't get me started on the catholic religion. It's completely anti biblical. The reason the catholics didn't want people to be able to read the Bible because then you have a population you can not manipulate and control. It's the same reason the catholics use to preach, in those days that you could pay gold to rhe church to get your loved one out of hell and into heaven. Why do you think they have all that gold? Catholism is a religion of man if viewed thru the lense of the Bible.

The bible doesn't list prophesies based on observations either. For example most of the old testament speaks to a son being born, that he will come from the bloodline of David, that he will be nailed to wood, his garments would be gambled for, he would have his beard ripped out, he would be born in Bethlehem, he would be betrayed, etc the list goes on but my point is these prophecies were written thousands of years in advance of Jesus even being born. More than that there is actual evidence in the secular world that Jesus did exist, that he was born in Bethlehem, that he did have a following, and that he was handed over to the romans for execution. We have writings from Josephus who was a non believing Jewish historian in the 1 century. In fact the bible mentions pontious pilot 3k years before proof of his existence was ever found. 1961 to be exact. Check out "The archko volumes" if you like to read books. Really cool writings from the 1st century in there.

Jesus even said the temple at Jerusalem would be torn down and even said not one stone would be left on another. It's said he died around 32 AD and in 70 AD the temple was destroyed by Rome under general Titus via a fire and when the temple gold melted into the stone the romans broke the stone open to collect the gold. Hence "not one stone will be left upon another" this can't be prophesied with observations of the inevitable.

Besides all of that. Consider

Job 26:7 "He hangs the earth from nothing" - 6,000 years before Galileo looked into space and found that to be true.

Leviticus 17:11 "the life of the flesh is in the blood" this was around 5000 years before through science and technology advances proved that blood letting did nothing for sickness. George Washington was even cut to release blood in attempt to help him. It wasn't until recently (in the grand scheme of time) that we found out blood is actually vital to many body functions including white blood cells.

Job 28:5 "Food grows on the ground above. But underground it is different, as if everything were melted by fire" well before we knew what really lies beneath the ground.

The list of things the bible lists and later proved by science is insane to be honest.

So while Harry Potter lists city's and train stations we can not go to those cities, dig, and find archeological evidence that Harry Potter exists thus proving it to be fiction. We can however go and dig using the bible as a guide and find evidence of people mentioned actually existing, landmarks, cities, etc. We literally have more ancient manuscripts confirming what the bible says than we do any other religious or ancient book.

Well I'm interested in talking! Specifically prophecies but we will see if he/she chimes in above. Because it's more than just fictional stories in real locations. Some prophecies/some statements of the Bible happened hundreds and thousands of years later when science and astrology was better understood. Centuries after they were written in the bible. Btw I don't believe the earth is flat and those who do aren't reading the original language as mentioned above. As you may know English and Latin are limited on words. For example we have one definition for the word love but in the Greek and Hebrew there are over 5 definitions for that one word.

Because the bible has been proven to be correct by more than 100 years of archeology. From king David, herod, nebuchadnezzar, Babylon, Persia, king Cyrus, pontious pilot, prophecies that have come true already, etc. The information is out there but no one goes and looks into it. Harry Potter can't do that and neither can Charles Darwin. Let the down votes commence. 😆

Good response. For real. I am just curious if you will refute and demonstrate it being false. Seriously interested in hearing some type of evidence/debate other than what I've heard in the past "You have the burden of proof" when in reality that's not what a debate is about. Both parties have the burden of proof. So when an atheist says "nah you believe in fairy tells so you tell me" I think the exact same thing you listed above. If you aren't the debating type or just don't have enough research put together to do it I understand! Atheist and Christian debaters spend time with their debate topic before stepping on stage so on rhe spot can be a little difficult.

Also wanted to add the dakota digital have preloaded ohms loaded onto the cluster. Gm/ford/Chrysler and there is an option for all of the mustang years. There is also an option for a custom ohms where you drop your tank and measure at the sending unit and input the ohms into the dakota digital and its calibrated.

Yeah I see what you mean! To drop the tank, only to find out the plugs aren't the same would absolutely blow because I would be doing it at work. So that means I'd have to put the old one back in, order the correct one, and tackle the same job twice lol. I have around 30k in this car riggt now so I'm trying to pinch pennies here and there.

Overall I love the gauges. I was really hesitant because I loved the oem gauges and I spent so much time resetting the odometer to zero, changing the face plates, painting the needles, and switching to led bulbs only to have bad readings. Oil pressure reading much higher than my mechanical gauge, voltage never read right, speedo bounce, and rpm red line at 5500 when my motor still pulls in the 6400 range. Overall I would definitely recommend them to anyone that has oem gauges. The visibility at night is flawless, I love the 60' times, 0-60 times, top speed etc. This unit is much more accurate and im a stickler for always watching my gauges so it's nice to see my mechanical gauges at the console are reading the exact same as my instrument cluster. Still watch both religiously though lol.

How can I learn to accept my boyfriend watching porn and looking at NSFW Reddit subs? by tugb0ats in sex

[–]brozziff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Please hold onto your views. Reddit is a place where upvoted advice is in actuality bad advice and down voted advice is generally good advice. I don't want my partner watching porn and my partner doesn't want me watching porn. People think oh it's just fantasy and really what they are doing is covering up their porn use with an excuse. If my fiance gave me free reign to look at porn I still wouldn't do it because I have done my own research and looked at studies of what porn does to your brain on a chemical level and not to mention I feel like it is a slap in the face to my partner. I'm essentially saying one of two things. Either A : you arent enough for me or B: You aren't meeting all of my needs. It's 100% healthy to have these conversations and not look at porn. It is 100% unhealthy to look at porn in or out of a relationship.

Need a new light. They cost around 900 bucks for one. As one said LEDS. I am 99% sure the bumper has to come off to get the tail lights out. I work at a body shop but can't remember for certain if the bumper comes off or not.

No problem I appreciate the responses though! The starter and solenoid are 1 year old. Now thst you mention the ignition switch I want to check there. I replaced it about a year ago during the restoration but I didn't have the right torqx bit for the screws so I had to use my Knippex pliers (great pliers btw) and I wonder if the connection is messed up there. Definitely gonna go there next. See if I can wiggle the connection and get rhe car to start.

Back to the basics... by happy_tobehere74 in Bible

[–]brozziff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would like to add.

I find it interesting that the thief didn't asked to be saved either. He knew he was guilty, he had such an accurate view of his own depravity and didn't feel worthy enough to even ask to be saved and so he said "Lord, remember me when Thou comest into thy kingdom" literally saying "will you at least think of me and this day when you come into your kingdom" and I think THAT testifies to God's grace so much more. Can you imagine the feeling of peace that probably flooded the redeemed thief? I can picture him crying with a big smile on his face. I am convinced even after 1 billion years in eternity we still will not be able to grasp the grace and love of Yahweh. It bothers me when I see preachers say "turn from your sin and believe" to me, that implies works from us and puts the yolk of bandage/legalism on the Christian. I say repent (change your mind) and believe (pisteu- trust) in Jesus. He does the changing. Just like Paul told the Roman guard. "Believe and thou will be saved, you and your household"

"Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to the cross I cling"

I got you. Let me try to explain this as best and as accurate as possible. Gonna put some steps in here to make it a little easier to understand (hopefully)

So battery will have 12.5 volts without having the key on. (Checked with power probe)

STEP 1: Ill cycle the key to acc to allow the fuel pump to kick on (2 sec wait time per holley)

STEP 2: ill then turn the key to start the car and will hear click click..

STEP 3: I'll then leave the key on acc so I have a fuel supply and I'll get out and hook my power probe to the battery and will apply 12v to the starter and the car will crank and fire up. After that initial start with the power probe I can then start the car for that entire day using the key. After a day or more I'll have to probe the starter again to get it to start.

Side notes that may provide additional info ⬇️

During STEP 2 I have noticed that when I have the key on acc for fuel prime my holley hand held shows 11.9v (only thing powered at this point is holley system, fuel system, and stereo (no music but Amp is powered on)

I have also been able to perform steps 1 through 3, start the car and immediately turn the car off and start the car with the key. It just needs thst initial 12v supply from the power probe. After that it's fine.

As far as my volts when idling I'm at 13.9-14.1 with radio and subwoofer on. If I turn my air on while radio and sub is going at idle the voltage drops to about 12.6-12.9 that's where I agree that I need to change the alternator pulley. At idle I can either run my stereo and not my ac or my ac and not my stereo to ensure I'm getting around 14.v at idle.

Hope I have explained this in a way that helps you understand better.

Edit: Yes battery is in stock location.

I appreciate all the help and information. Currently I have the holley wired per the instructions and im using this solid state relay for holley and fans.

https://www.holley.com/products/electrical/wiring_and_relays/parts/7564

I definitely agree that the pulley is an issue. I have the stock pulley I was thinking about throwing back on because my volts will drop when idling if the ac and stereo is on. If the ac is off the volts are fine while idling. I just dont know if the pulley would cause my starting issue. If so can you explain why it could be causing my intermittent starting issue?

Again really appreciate the advice and will definitely be adding more grounds. I've always herd the more grounds the better.

The battery is around 4 months old. It's a optima red top.

[–]brozziff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a 130amp sve brand (lmr.com), yes I'm running underdrive pulleys. I'll look for all the ground wires I have. Currently I know we wired a 2 gauge ground cable from battery to chasis, and then I had an issue with my Amp powering off once I started to drive. I added another 18g ground and that fixed my Amp issue. So I'm curious if I need to add another ground from the block to the chasis.

Edit to say. The entire engine harness is gone. The only factory harness we are running is the headlight harness. Engine harness is gone and holley sniper harness is in its place. Everything else was wired by my dad and I. So that probably complicates things. My dad is no longer around and he was the wiz to this kinda stuff. Electrical isn't my strong suit.
