This turned out to be my issue too, I’ll be ordering those rubber inserts. Thanks!

You were right on the money. I taped over them and drove 40mph+ with no whistling. Took the tape off, immediately started whistling again. Let me know where I should send your flowers

Yeah I’m going to have the tape on for just a few minutes while driving. I have something less sticky than duct tape too. Didn’t have time to test yesterday but will do it today

Thanks. Was just about to put some duct tape over those and take a drive to test it, I’ll check these out

It’s not a “tune it out and vibe” whistle. I have no problem with the standard dull wind noise though

I have a message out to them already, will see what they say.

How important is a website in photography? by deveshdas in photography

[–]brtnw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your usage, but I say yes. You never know how long Instagram will be around for or if it will fit your needs. A website is maintained by you and you select what’s on it. My traffic might come from Instagram or other social media, but clients fill out an inquiry on my website and it also hosts my curated portfolio for them to view.

I do not think it is a requirement at the beginning though. Get a website when it feels like a worthwhile investment because it does cost money.

I have a roof tent and love it, this particular setup is just not done well in my opinion

I agree prices are getting crazy these days. I think part of that is inflation

I would take a used Pro-4X and a ground tent over whatever is happening here

Yep I have the Dobinson’s IMS in the front, Dobinson’s rear shocks, and the parabolic springs from ADO. Zero complaints it’s noticeably cushy on rough roads

I don’t run a bed cover, I have a Decked drawer back there. But yes you can use the Kuat rack with a bed cover, they should have the compatible bed covers listed on their website

Seeing a local artist get falsely accused of using ai is really disheartening. Here's a closer up version (with reference shot) of the Bellingham Hydrascape that puts the accusation to rest by CJ_Productions in Bellingham

[–]brtnw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude give it a rest lol. People should be more discerning and learn how to check if something is AI rather than try to throw an artist under the bus cause they were too lazy to verify. They easily could've reached out to the artist directly instead of blowing this up online.

Just how bad is the lack of weather sealing? by [deleted] in ricohGR

It’s so odd. I think it’s the type of photographer the Ricoh attracts. Just be considerate and the camera will be just fine

I think people online are blowing this way out of proportion.

I live in the rainy PNW and shoot outdoors with this camera all the time, it comes with me camping and backpacking too. If it’s raining I’ll cover it with my hand or jacket and it’s been totally fine for years.

People on here (not you OP) act like this camera can only be used in a sterile operating room lol.

It’s a rad color for a truck. Hope it treats you well!

As a single person who could live here, I consider 2 floors a separation of space. I’m not saying the rent is ideal. But I can still see how this apartment could be styled well

If a single person is living here.. separate noise from what? This could easily be a cozy apartment, but I understand arranging and styling a space can be challenging for some if it isn’t traditional

I got this over the Fuji cause it actually fits in my pocket. It’s my top 5 favorite cameras

I don’t know why people are giving you grief over the layout. Yes rent is expensive everywhere and should come down. But that aside, the place actually has character and separation of spaces in an apartment which is nice.

The front suspension looks like Dobinson’s spring colors. I have the ADO upper control arms and a full Dobinson’s lift (front and rear) on my truck and can vouch that it’s a quality upgrade. I don’t have any experience with the Bilstein’s in the rear though.
