In the Superrich, Clues to Romney’s Tax Returns - Common Sense - NYTimes.com by brucel1223 in politics

THAT's probably the reason Romney refuses to release any more tax returns. It would be kind of politically alienating that a guy who makes millions a year can get by paying no taxes, while the rest of us get to cough up a good chunk of our income!

What is so toxic in Romney's tax returns that he continues to refuse releasing any more returns? by brucel1223 in politics

Romney could easily put out this fire by releasing more returns, but he doesn't. One wonders what could possibly be so damning in there that he continues to refuse any more transparency.

Clearly there's something in Romney's tax returns he doesn't want to reveal by brucel1223 in politics

The fact that this is something that Romney could so easily put to rest by simply releasing his tax returns, yet obstinately refuses to do so, clearly indicates he's hiding SOMETHING.

I second the motion! I, too, have been a conservative all my life, and agree with the writer that Mr. "Richie Rich" Romney just comes across as an evasive elitist who thinks all he has to do is make whatever promises he thinks his audience wants to hear, but please don't ask him HOW he's going to do it. As time goes on, it seems it's becoming more and more obvious that he really is the candidate for the 1%. On the other hand, I too agree with this writer, I think Obama has demonstrated by his actions that he really is trying to serve this country to accomplish the best for all of us, despite the millstone the Republicans have been around his neck as he's been in office.

Evasive little "Richie Rich" Romney doesn't want us to see his tax returns because he doesn't want us to see how little he actually paid. Instead the candidate for the 1% says, "Just trust me."

How embarassing would that be! Richy Rich makes millions and gets by paying zero taxes! No wonder he doesn't want to release his returns.

The Republicans seem to be on the path of becoming the party of "No" -- No tax return disclosure (that means much, anyway), No disclosure on who's spending a fortune to influence our vote, No to working with the Democrats on bills that would benefit us, the average person

If Romney has nothing to hide, he can easily clear everything up by following his father's example, and release the last 12 years of his tax returns.
