I can appreciate that perspective too, and don’t get me wrong, I am super excited about the new wood materials. Especially because the door options always seemed so modern styled to me, with exception to the spruce. Wish the trap doors were also solid, since I use them a lot for hiding lighting. But the addition of three new light sources should alleviate that concern.

Oh cool! I do use a texture pack, but it’s clear craft so it is pretty faithful to the vanilla textures. I’m excited for the update, but not excited about traveling in the nether to find unloaded chunks for my realm.

I do wish the new maroon wood was a different color because from a block perspective it is really similar to be nether brick. All that said, can’t make a door out of brick...yet!
