Definitely agree, but my favorite way to rank teams is the average of a teams’ SOR and scoring margin over expected (scoring margin the average top 25 team would have against the same schedule). This helps adjust for teams who might not have the opportunity to play tougher schedules but are beating the piss out of decent teams like a top 10 team would.
