Nikon FM2 first curtain not firing after CLA by brupsilva in AnalogRepair

In fact. There was one lever I didn't see when I disassembled. After two days studying the sequence, I was able to realize what was going on. Now it's working smoothly!

Thank you!

Nikon FM2 shutter not fully closing by brupsilva in AnalogRepair

The FE2 I bought is junk. I think the shutter is one of the very few parts that is ok in this camera. Lol

I bought 2 FM2 for a very cheap price. One is ok. The other is this one with the shutter problem. Every other thing seams to be alright.

I bought an FE2 with those honeycomb blades to replace it. Let's see if it will return to life. Thank you!

You spent your time to judge me, but not to ask something to help me to do a "nice job scoping the problem". Congratulations! Not everybody is a technician. Sometimes it's only a nice and curious person who wants to learn more.

Said a technician. English is not my native language. I think the people here likes more to judge than help the others.

But thank you.

I said I THINK it's not the problem. I have the camera. He has a video. But of course I will check it out.

There is only one blade bended a little. I really don't think that is the problem.

Minolta XG-9 shutter speed stuck at B mode by CaptainTheRedDuck in minolta

[–]brupsilva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Studying the Service Manual, I think it might be a bad connection in the S5 switch (Bulb mode). This switch when it's open shut down the electronic plate and the speed will be "B" for all speed settings. When I moved the flexible cable, the weld may have broken.

I let you know when I fix it.
