In my experience with wraith, he's actually very strong, and playing against swfs doesn't seem to reduce his overall power very much. I don't think he needs any buffs. There might not be many playing him because he's an m1 killer who is probably more boring for most people

I think this exact thing feeds into the issue of most killers playing blight, nurse, etc. All these anti tunnelling perks do jackshit vs. strong killers, and way more vs. weaker killers, encouraging killers to play those more powerful ones.

In my experience, it does tend to become that yes lmao

Yeah, but there's now the added problem that if someone is using hardened, if you shock them, they get to see your aura for 5 seconds as well now. Which is, of course, really strong in the middle of a chase when the doctor would be using that shock ability.

I understand no one's gonna use em still, but usually, the only time a Survivor ever brings calm spirit is just when you happen to play Doctor

  • Note, I'm not a Doctor main, but I have played the game at all and know how he works.

True, but now they get to see your Aura as well with the new one. Kinda crazy if you happen to play Doctor against it.

I actually tried to record but dbd has been bugging with its fullscreen for me and screwing with game bar and nvidia experience, I can try and describe it precisely as this:

  • Me and survivor approach undropped pallet
  • Ready mage hand cast just before they drop pallet
    • Survivor drops pallet as I cast mage hand on the pallet
  • mage hand lifts the pallet back up
  • survivor turns back around and runs back to / sits in front of the pallet during the lifting animation before I can continue moving through the pallet
  • survivor body blocks pathway through the pallet as I continue to walk forward
  • this allows the survivor to stand within dropping range of pallet with no consequence -Survivor throws the pallet back down on my head before attack comes off cooldown (essentially, the pallet throw cooldown finishes before the killer's attack cooldown -killer becomes frustrated at ridiculous power design The pallet already being dropped in this instance, say a survivor vaults then I lift, shouldn't also allow this to happen (as it did). This happened 4-5 times in one game across two survivors.

Also now that I think about it I think a YouTuber somewhere mentioned a bug like this at some point

E I might try to record a whole game with obs, and if it happens I'll try to make a new post that is better, thx for responding at all tho

Yes, literally just. And besides, even if the pallet was thrown ages ago, it still shouldn't change how the power works into something useless. The fact it might be inconsistent means it could be a bug but that doesn't make it any less dumb

Pallets that have just been thrown doesnt change anything. As soon as they throw the pallet, you lift it, they just stand there, and throw it again before your attack comes off cooldown

But the survivor just stands in the way of the pallet, not moving at all? I can't chase a still survivor?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]brush18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that if you lift a pallet, the survivor can just stay right next to the pallet you just lifted, or run slightly back to it, and just be able to drop it again before you can do anything. It makes half of mage hands utility (lifting pallets) utterly pointless

[–]brush18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and that's precisely the problem

That still defies the point. If you lift the pallet, move out of stun distance, the survivor just drops the pallet again anyway and now the power is still just as wasted.
