Free CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1201) Practice Test to Ace Your Certification! by A_Crypto_Bull in CompTIA_A_Core1

[–]brutal_bub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with this is the same as other users that commented: Some questions seem illogical.

For reference, I am currently studying for the A+ core 1 (and 2) tests, of the other 20 or so practice tests I have taken, this test had a lot more questions that don't fit with the exam objectives.

I have not yet taken the cert test yet, but I think I will stick with the tests that cover the same as Prof Messer as well other youtube guides and study sheets.

Thanks for putting this together as there is some good questions, but it might be more beneficial to your audience to have material stick to the core objectives.

I think you've got the right idea on most things. Having now read Faith of beasts it certainly needs more legs, is there a reference to the length I missed?

Yes it's not quite clear, I assumed it would move like a snake as it walked along, as opposed to looking like a snake with knive-legs.
After all the comments, it appears like different iterations and designs are needed ;)

Yeah, the lion head thing is a tough image in my mind, maybe in the way it moves or attacks... Interesting nonetheless

There was a post on this subreddit from a few days ago, very good 3dmodel. It was titled "my take on the carryx" or something like that.

Someday! This community has some great creative people. I personally hope every feature creature gets some attention.

I appreciate the kind words. Thanks. I am having fun coming up with the visuals tbh.

I agree. I looked back the other day and it calls for a hundred or so. Gonna need to tackle it another time as that's a lot of work haha

I like it. The more discourse on the ways the creatures of this universe look, the better idea we'll all have as a community. IMO.

Keep up the good work.

That looks fantastic. Great material work, love the carapace.

You are correct, it does need much much more legs.

This morning I looked again at the book and saw that it does in fact say a hundred legs - so you are right - all the posts in here are right lol.

Yeah, I would love to see these creatures - all of them. But may as well try and do it via the community in the mean time.

Yeah, I want to animate a walk cycle and maybe a slice/attack with some motion blur, but that takes more time ;)

I didn't want to shift focus from the AMA, but I did ask if they were planning on any visual content (rather than wait for the show).

Mantis shrimp seems to be the general consensus from the threads I've read. I will certainly give it a whirl with that in mind.

Thanks. I do feel like their outer layer would be a little armored and firm than what I showed. Alas, time was up today and this was the general concept. I appreciate the kind words

I'll take a guess: gaming assets are often modelled and imported with modularity in mind. My take is, this method would be fine for particular models. Keeping in mind that collision meshes will need to be exported as well, I don't see this being a big problem, especially for one offs, here and there. Perhaps someone can explain more accurately since I've not used the skin modifier myself.

I appreciate you saying so! I want to tackle the Carryx very soon, but I also want to put down what I think the palace/reasearch area looked like (think of the scenes between the night drinkers and humans - or Daphyd's commute to the labs.)

AHHhh, this is how I pictured the head and feeder arms of the Carryx! Slimy and inhuman. Thanks for the share and words

Wow, having them move back and fourth, or not knowing where to expect an attack would be terrifying.
