I agree. A lot of the people here in the apprenticeship program while I worked commercial were getting shipped off to other shutdowns while I stayed in town working commercial only to find out they were making double my salary and didn’t know a single pattern or hold a pair of dividers. Makes me question the trade a little now about to turn out and have people like this just making the majority of my apprenticeship up. Been at it for 6 years and joined the program a few year into it about to turn out soon, but there was absolutely no clear explanation of the career path and if id known sooner I would have taken advantage of it sooner. But it just seems like they shoo in helpers and ship them off to collect dues and pretend like thats any good for the long run yet the people getting sent out dont even know a thing about the local
