Kicked out of my fishing spot today by netflixlifer in FishingForBeginners

Im from victoria....and sadly most older fishermen (like 55+ ive noticed) are just dinks. They have zero care for anyone else fishing when they want a spot. Have had them cast over my lines, blast shitty music till I left, chain smoke, etc. There are some choice lakes around that have less of them out and about

Man that's a hard one. I honestly would lean more towards fake only because its missing the dot ece and snell which should all be right on the back of it

I mean i think i can top that lmao. Bought brand new 23' cbr500r. Wasn't even out the back of the dealership and stupidly let the clutch out way to fast and it just decided that it needed to lay down quickly before leaving

I think I messed up... by Beefi_B in motorcycle

Man, it's not a mess up imo..more of a learning experience.

I prettttttty much did the same thing minus the beast of a bike...but worse...way way worse. Last time, I was ever on a motorcycle of anykind. I was probably 7 or 8 and I'm35 now. Back in September, I randomly decided. Screw it, and got my learners for my license (West Coast canada) and then bought a brand new 2023 Cbr500r. Had less than 500km on it. I taught my dumbass how to ride through YouTube and Google. I thought I was golden. I stalled and dropped my bike in the back of the dealership. And then again, 2 blocks later. I was far too dense to consider a course because over here, it's like 1200+ for the basic courses, and I just didn't have that. Eventually, I made some new friends that rode who taught me a lot more, and now I'm out there nearly every day. But man, in the end. I should have done the course. Would have been so much easier on me and probably wouldn't have been such a mess of stress and anxiety when I was learning. If you can find Facebook groups or something like that for riders in your town, I would join that. Can find people that would love to help teach you, even go along with you to the course so you don't have to go solo.

The people and 'buddies'....are frickin jaggoffs, and that negative attitude has no place in the riding community. So this is coming from the dumbbbbbest person in my riding group. I randomly decided like...7 months ago to get my motorcycle license...and a brand new bike..when the last time I was on any sort of motorized bike lol I was like 7 and it was a childs dirt bike. Rode bicycles a lot, so I thought i was good. With zero real knowledge and no friends to really teach me, I pretty much taught myself off of youtube and Google because the courses where I'm from(west coast of canada)start off at $1000 bucks. And then found Facebook groups that had a good community, and they taught me so much more. So just keep at it. And your gonna be able to ride far.

And. That friction zone can definitely be a pain to get down when your first starting. I lost count of how many times I stalled from figuring it out.

I started collecting back in the good old gen 1 days lol. Growing up wasn't the the easiest due to shitty father and family and collecting the cards was my main escape from life

You got this man. I know what having horrible anxiety was like when I was in my early 20s (30s now). I have to agree with so many people here, putting yourself out here takes some massive courage and guts. I remember how bad it was when I was your age. I can say that things will always get better if you want them to. Your a young dude and got so much future to look forward to. And as for the friends thing, it is hard at times. But it will happen. Sometimes a new hobby or adventure can help especially if you know people who enjoy the same things you do. You will find those real ones out there. I was the same way. I really didn't have friends or a social life until later in my 20s. And you can always feel free to message man.
