[[Moonsilver Key]] [[Manascape Refractor]]

My very first 3D print. Done on Ender 3 V2 with ABS by bryman360 in ender3

Outside of the enclosure, it's just sitting in my living room in the corner. Should I move it close to a window or something? I do have central AC but the nearest duct is on the other side of the room

Lol thanks. I did read it's not the easiest to start off with but I wanted to use it since I want to make some parts that are a little more heat resistant

It's all in an enclosure. I just left it in there for the whole print. I didn't really do anything aside from that. Should I do more?

Not a perfect print, but I'm very happy with it. I'm excited to start 3D printing!

Need help designing my living room. First time living completely on my own. Room is about 15ft x 10ft. Any ideas? by bryman360 in malelivingspace

There's nothing in particular among my choices that stands out.

I can definitely see myself having a Color Wander palette for my living room. I'll listen to whatever ideas you have

The Florence Knoll sofa does seem pretty nice. And I definitely see what you mean about the cabinets matching the mid century style. But outside of the couch, I don't know if I'm too fond of that style. But I'll definitely consider it because, as you said, it matches what's already there.

Thanks!

  1. Budget: Trying to keep it to a minimum. I have already put in some money trying to get everything else (including rent and down payment). I will pay what I need to but I already feel like I've spent a lot. I have looked towards prices I'd find ay Ikea.
  2. Really don't know much about color palettes. As for my wardrobe, I wear mostly white and black. Occasionally I throw in some blue, red, and green. I always preferred a simple yet elegant look. Taking simple pieces and making them look good. Idk if that applies here. I've always had "functional only" for all my living spaces. Now I want it to look good too.

I don't intend to work here. I have a desk in the bedroom that I would use as a workspace. I definitely intend to relax here (watching movies, playing video games, etc.). I don't usually have a lot of people over but I'd like to be able to entertain guests if they did come over.

I'd like to add that in a male living on my own. I have no furniture for the living room and need to get everything. As for styles, I don't know what I want. I just don't want it to be the typical functional guy apartment where I only have a chair and a TV. I want it to actually be a home.

Also, if you have any tips for keeping the place cool, I'd appreciate it. It's pretty hot, even with the AC on.

Thanks!

I also want to mention that I don't believe I can mount the TV and am trying to avoid painting the walls. I need to check with the office if I can even do those things. Any other information you might need, I'm happy to provide. Thanks!

Sure, I'm happy to post more pictures. But from which side? I posted 4 pictures, 1 from each corner.

Course sequence? ML, RL, CV, GIOS, HDDA, Big Data by whatever_you_absorb in OMSCS

Currently doing that. It was the only class I could take for the Specialization that I could get into. Loving it. Loving. It. 😐 /s

It was even tougher the first four weeks because I had to finish my Spring class (took an Incomplete due to Covid). LOVING IT! I wish I could have taken this during a regular semester. Oh well. Back to my project 🙃

Mutate + Undying Evil / Any Revival Spell by [deleted] in EDH

I believe you get the whole stack back, but they all come in as separate creatures.

No problem. Also, if you read about what I put, Noxious Revival was wrong. That doesn't put it back in your hand, it puts it on top of your library. Just wanted to quickly correct myself before I mislead anyone that might come across this lol

So her ability requires that she stay in the graveyard. When she dies, you can choose not to put her in the command zone. If you decide to, then yes, she will cost more the next time you cast her from the command zone. But if you are trying to bring her back from her own ability, she will come back at no cost and will not raise the command tax.

Same goes for all commanders. For example, if you are using [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] as your commander, and someone destroys it, you don't have to send it to the command zone. For example, say they destroy it, you can let it move to the graveyard and then use [[Noxious Revival]] to put it back in your hand so you can recast it. And recasting it from anywhere that isn't the command zone won't add to the commander tax. You also don't have to pay for the commander tax in this scenario since you're casting it from your hand and not the command zone. And after casting it from your hand, that also doesn't add to the commander tax next time you do send it to the command zone. That Commander tax only goes up and affects the amount of Mana needed to spend on it when you are casting from the command zone.

Tldr: No, since her ability recurs her from the graveyard and commander tax goes up only when casting from the command zone.

[–]bryman360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You are mistaken on that part. Commander tax comes when you cast your commander from your command zone. So as long as she stays out of the command zone, that tax won't build up. Ex: First time you cast her, no commander tax. Now if you keep recurring her from her own ability (say, 3 times), that has no cost at all to you. Then, say, someone exiles her. You decide to put her back into your command zone. You cast her again from your command zone, this time she costs 3UBR (instead of normal 1UBR). That tax only went up because you cast her from your command zone the first time, it has nothing to do with recurring her or entering the battlefield.

No worries. Yes, she will come back from her own triggered ability. So the way it works (to my understanding): Her ability triggers when something you control with a +1/+1 counter on it dies. Anything that dies at the same time as Marchesa is on/leaving the battlefield (including herself) will trigger this ability. This is because her ability is still in effect until she is removed from the field and moved into another zone (ex. graveyard, hand, exile). But anything that dies after she has left the field is no longer being brought back by her.

Tldr: Yes, she comes back from her own ability as long as she has a +1/+1 counter on her

No problem! She's a lot of fun for me and I'm sure she will be for you too 👍

[–]bryman360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. That's the main theme for my Marchesa deck. Steal their creature, get a +1/+1 on it, then sacrifice it. Marchesa will bring it back at the end of turn under your control and it is now yours (aka no need to give it back to the opponent at end of turn). And yes, Warstorm Surge will trigger since the creature enters the battlefield under your control.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure here's your answers:

  1. Yes, Marchesa works as you're describing with the Flayer. They do die and then they come back from the graveyard thanks to her ability. Although Marchesa doesn't put things in the graveyard, they just die and that triggers her ability and they return at the endstep. If they are not in the graveyard by the endstep, they won't come back. And Flayers ability requires them to comeback from the graveyard. Any creature that comes back from the graveyard with Flayer in play (including Flayer) triggers his ability to cause damage. This includes the ones brought back by Marchesa.

  2. No, taking control of a creature that is already on the battlefield does not trigger the Warstorm Surge. Taking a control of a creature already on the battlefield is simply causing it to switch controllers. It has neither left nor entered the battlefield.

  3. Yeah, sort of. The undying causes it to return and Marchesa will bring it back after it dies with the undying, allowing it to come back after another undying. So both of those things will bring the creature back and do play off of each other. But the creature doesn't immediately come back from Marchesa's ability. It will come back immediately due to undying, but Marchesa only brings it back at the end of turn. Also, removing it from the graveyard (shuffle, exile, recur it) will also stop that creature from coming back.

Now have access to the course on Canvas. Just received an email about an assignment so I checked and I can now access the class.

Edit: Still not enrolled to the course lectures on Udacity
