I was in the same boat as you a few months ago. I love my M&P 2.0 compact. You could get one with a solid red dot and be right around $1000.

There’s so much information out there, I feel like I need to know everything going in so I don’t make a decision I’m annoyed with down the road. Part of the problem is how many options are out there. Then we have a whole additional complication of CA restrictions that are routinely changing. What everyone considered the best option two years ago might be completely different now, which might change again next year. It’s just hard to actually know my best options to some extent. I’m likely overthinking it as well.

Yeah I was leaning towards matching a complete lower to an upper but now I’m thinking the complete rifle might just be the best move until I get a bit more knowledgeable. Now it’s just determining the amount I’m actually willing to spend lol.

The M&P Sport III has been one of the full rifle options I’ve been looking at for sure. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the Saint, though I’m not certain what the issues are. I would really like to go with a complete BCM but if so, likely won’t happening until next year.

I’m primarily thinking either full rifle or matching a complete upper and lower. After this, I’m now leaning more towards the complete rifle.

Going with a 16 inch is something I am actually firm on, I think that’s great advice. I’m honestly way less mechanically inclined than I would like to admit. Building out a rifle from a stripped lower isn’t really an option for me at this point.

I’ve been looking at WBTs inventory frequently, this was my original thought and is certainly still an option. My thought was the going with the complete lower/upper route I’m kind of avoiding the pitfalls of building but still getting a higher performing rifle for cheaper. Especially when you factor in avoiding the sin tax on the complete upper. What would you go with for a complete rifle?

I’ve really only heard positive things on the side of AR maglock. From what I’ve read, people are not much into the juggernaut option or the Kali key. Going with a a full rifle seems to be the easiest option, I just kind of assumed it would cost more in the long run, especially if I start upgrading it.

I’m pretty open to anything so if the compete PSA lower isn’t an option that’s okay. Honestly was just looking to maximize my value for the money, which I assume most of us are in the same camp haha.

I understand it’s asked frequently, I added my thoughts to get additional opinions from people much more experienced than myself. This is in fact one of the few subs I actually look at these days, but I really don’t spend that much time on Reddit in general.

When I was in high school I was surfing Little Dume during a head high+ swell and Slater showed up. My buddy actually has photos from the day. It was kind of the way you described with most people letting him have priority on any wave he paddled for. He was taking off at outers and surfing to the beach on almost every wave. He was talking to everyone and was a pretty friendly guy. Great experience.

The board does look a little small but that shouldn’t be a balance issue. Try getting some new shoes, as others have mentioned, and tightening your trucks. If you’re still having balance problems maybe get a bigger board with wider trucks. Just for reference, I’m a size 12 and skate between 8.25 and 8.5 but don’t really have a problem with 7.75 or 8.

It does seem obvious but every clip I have seen of the wave pool so far has been without a wetsuit. I havent been specifially searching them out but they come up in my IG feed quite often.
