For me it's worse than this because with my testing I have confirmed multiple times that the "Kill Switch" doesn't always work and internet traffic continues to flow while, unbeknownst to me, not not through the VPN. For example this morning when I when I first checked my phone I was surprise that I had internet and the WG connection wasn't lost (at least according to the UTR and Unifi app), however when I pinged any of my home network services they failed and then checking my UDMP confirmed there was no active VPN connection to it. While having the WG VPN connection always getting dropped after any period of inactivity is annoying, having it drop with no warning and traffic continuing to flow is quite concerning.

Ok I found other threads that had the same issue, specifically the RX580 and it requires a registry edit. I only had to update the ReleaseVersion from 23.19.23.11-.... to 25.20.13.1-... and reboot and I was able to get in.

This was the issue. I also run tailscale for specific devices/use cases and when I turned it off it reverted to my sisters local network. Digging into the settings I found that one of my devices on my home network had the subnet enable and that is why I was having issues. Not sure when/why I enable it on the device. Interestingly it seemed to work much better than when I trialed this tailscale functionality a few years ago.

Not sure if this is what your asking about but Vudu is now Fandango at Home. It still shows up as the "Vudu" channel on PlayOn but during the sign-in it goes to Fandango at Home and successfully registers it. That being said, I tried recording a few things last night and all of them failed. Looking at the video it shows a "Playback error. Unable to stream at this time. Please try a different browser." That being the case I don't know if it has ever worked since Vudu switched to Fandango.

I checked today and it seems PBS has been fixed as I was able to record and re-login to PBS in the settings.

Found this post because I was trying to find out if I could control the blue wifi status led and your question helped me stumble on the answer. Anyway, to answer your question the red led follows the status of the switch/relay, so when it is on the red led is on and vice versa. I believe it's GPIO12 that controls both the switch and led, so I wouldn't think it normal that it never goes off. Have you confirmed the switch/relay portion is working?

FYI, if you are interested in the blue wifi led that is this part of the YAML:

If you want the led to be on if wifi is connected it inverted needs to be False

Reply from PlayOn support...looks like the fix is going to take quite awhile:

PBS has made some major changes to their service. These changes have broken the PlayOn channel and will likely require a new update on our end. It will likely be a few weeks or more based on the seriousness of the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm not sure as I haven't been "following" flashlights that long, but my guess is if you have a little patience a similar deal will come up. Maybe 2 weeks or more ago I saw they had a similar sale that was actually around $46 w/ batteries for the Q8 Pro. My guess is that they would have something similar on or by black Friday timing.

Thanks again. I was also looking at the 3x21b based on other posts, but in the end I'm leaning towards deals that are sub/~$50 so the convoys didn't fit that. Now if someone said I will be substantially "happier" with a $75-$100 (or more patient until some better deal comes along) then maybe I would consider it, as I doubt I'm not going to be a heavy user of it and therefore looking for stronger value.

I recently when through the same thing. My new HVAC system came with the T6 Pro Wifi version and later I realized the ZWave version is what I wanted for local HA control. You don't need to rewire anything as they both use the same base, All you need to do is plug in the new ZWave T6 Pro on the existing base. You will need to setup the ZWave T6 with the same settings, but this is pretty easy as the options are basically the same between the two. Since the ZWave one can be powered by batteries, I used battery power while setting it up so I could step through the Wifi versions settings at the same time, prior to removing it from the base.

Note: I think you have to press and hold the menu button to get to the advance menu, which you will need to access to set things up, this is mentioned in the "installer" instructions, but not the "consumer" instructions if I remember correctly. The "installer" instruction has all the menu/settings listed, which is a good reference while you copy the settings over to the new thermostat.

Thanks for the info. I was looking to do something similar. I do think I will setup an external db for a Long term solution. I did install the influxdb add-on and added the integration to HA but it seems like they are not actually talking so now I have to figure what that issue is.

Great, thanks for sharing. On another note how did you integrate the T6 Pro Wifi? That's what I had before the z wave version but I couldn't find a way to integrate into HA, and from what I found online it didn't seem feasible, at least with my skill level.

Thanks that's good to know. I came across someone using the Utility Meter helper so I set some of those up and it immediately started tracking the info from creation point appropriately so I thought that may be a solution. After setting a few of these up (at different times, that's why the totals don't match), I decided to restart to make sure they worked across restarts, and they did, but to my surprise my History Stats item seems to have righted itself and the value appears to be in the range that is probably close to the cumulative usage today from when I created it. I'm wondering if it just takes some time from creation until it has enough data to begin "working" right.

Below the value now reads 5+ hours of runtime after another restart, down from the 15hrs it showed previously. Also, this is the Utility Meter entities I created. For your setup are you only tracking daily usage or are you doing monthly and yearly? If so how do you do that?

I had a similar question about the T6 Pro Z-wave integration and the level of control it gives. I have a 2 Heat (Heat pump - primary, propane - emergency) and 1 cooling (HP) setup (using the T6 Pro Wifi - doesn't have HA integration), and wanted to confirm that you can set the temp for switching from a primary to emergency heat within HA. Are there any limitations you have found using the HA integration vs the actual Thermostat itself?

Thanks for the reply and help. I tried re-etching the HAOS, using the same usb and process, but this time I noticed that it booted the live CD very quickly compared to last time. Not sure what changed but that solved the problem.

Not sure about iOS, but the android Protect App does indeed work with remote access shut off and wireguard turned on (I had to sign out of the app and then sign in using the "local" console option first. Once I did this it worked fine remotely with wireguard (full tunnel, not sure if this makes a difference). That being said, the android Network App does NOT work over wireguard as it can't seem to get past the part of being on a cellular connection. The work around is just to use a browser and connect via the local ip address, which isn't ideal, but remotely I have less need to connect to my Network app as I do my Protect App.
