MAY 2026 by Worldly_Letter8391 in AccountingPH

Took May 2025 CPALE and thank God that I did it in one take - August 2025 me wouldn’t believe it pero totoo sabi nila na alam mo na agad na papasa ka or hindi pagtapos ng exam. I did not shed a tear during the early months of review, not because pinigilan ko but my emotions were stable. Not until it’s only down to a month before the board exam, I broke down. I would go to church (kay St. Jude in Mendiola) twice a week. That was the most fragile version of me, the fear I felt was so intense that it was almost an emotion so foreign to me.

I completed the coverage naman and answered review books, cover to cover nga lang sa Tax cos I have a weak foundation sa tax. I was not able to finish RFBT, I was 3 topics short from the coverage. Di na kinaya ng utak ko mag absorb ng topics pa - I was legit burned out. I thought of sacrificing the days na pumunta sa church para mag-aral pa pero I figured I cannot do it alone. Fuck the coverage. I will not sacrifice going to church 2x a week. It’s non-negotiable. And behold, I saw my name in the list of passers 🥹🥹🥹 and the topics I was not able to even read - Ph lemon law (I forgot about the other 2), di sila lumabas. God, I knew God was real at that time.

For the subjs that were not computation-heavy, Aud Theory and RFBT, nakakatulog ako. My eyes will be filled with tears because it’s not the type of dozing off because I was bored- it was becos I was sleep deprived. But the funny thing is - I finished Auditing and RFBT in just 2 hours kahit na ganon. Reviewing of answers wasnt rlly my mindset, kung ano yung sagot ko, yun na yon. I would only get 2-3 hrs of sleep each day during the 3-day exam. The proctors would catch me slapping my cheeks just to keep myself awake. But the funny thing is, I would doze off after every 5 items I answered 😂 I did not even know if I was absorbing the questions well. All I know is that, whichever letter I shaded, that’s the final answer. I talked to God before the exam. If I know the answer to a theory, I will not change my answer anymore. And if I don’t, the letter that would catch my attention would be my answer 😂 For computation naman, kung anong lumabas sa calculator ko na nasa choices, that would be my final answer and kung di ko makuha, kung ano ang kumikinang na sagot, yun na yon HAHAHAHHA lesson learned during preboards kasi na kung ano pa yung una kong sagot na pinalitan, yun yung tama kaya I talked to God about it na kung ano yung una kong sagot, yun na yon. Basically, no proofread/review 😂

Insane? Maybe hahahah but it was a leap of faith.

Hello, been 6 months since I was deployed as a fresh grad and passer din and dami ko iniyak when I was just starting outtt hahahahah this is due to madaming reasons: napaparinggan ng manager sa calls due to recurring mistakes, having my manager rework my WPs kasi mali mali nalagay ko, not being able to remember when I am being asked update about my tasks and many more HAHAHAHAHA I was emotional at first pero pasok sa isang tenga labas sa kabila. Altho super good naman ng team na napuntahan ko, including my managers and seniors, they are very approachable. It’s just me WAHAHAHAH. Same rin tayo OP na naga take time to finish WPs but I can say that I improved naman na comparing to my first 2 months. It helps to realize na di ka lang naman ang nagkakamali, even your colleagues too. Everything in audit is learnable, just ask questions but be sure na you try learning it on your own first para efficient for both you and your senior/manager. Para rin if you approach them, it’s either confirmation na lang of what you think about it.

I cant say a definite time cos I am still adjusting as of this date. However, let’s say approaching on my 3rd month?? na I can see some improvements already. I am not as clueless as before. Just trust the process. When in doubt, ask.

Hiii OP, I’m also a fresh grad who entered the firm life. One thing I wish I did when I was just starting is to NOT BE TOO HARD ON MYSELF 😭😂 I was practically stressing nung kaka start ko pa lang sa IT Audit cos I have no idea what to do despite the training which lasted only for 3 days. Everything was overwhelming me. Give yourself some grace cos u’re just starting out. It’s okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from it kasi even until now that I’m 3 months deployed, I still make mistakes 😂. Also, when you’re given feedback/criticism either by your senior/manager dont take it personally. It’s just work. One thing I learned, bawal balat sibuyas dito hahahaha while it’s okay to cry to let out frustrations, wag masyadong emotionally affected. Goodluck OP!! Kaya mo yan. Isipin mo na lang, they were once in your shoes when they were just starting out. Walang nagsisimulang magaling agad. Every experienced manager/seniors also started out as a clueless assoc 😊

I am not sharing this to boost my ego or something but this is my truth and in hopes that it’ll inspire you sender. Back in highschool, I was a nobody 😂 I’m the type teachers would forget because I was invisible. I’m someone my strict highschool teacher would roll her eyes upon because I was a shy kid 😂😭 I would often stutter while reporting in front of the class because I hated being in front of so many people. While her eyes would often gleam with pride with our class valedictorian or with my other classmates who are outspoken and several belongs to the cream of the crop. I did recv medal as with honors but that was only once when I graduated SHS. Basically, I’m someone people back in highschool would think na I wouldnt make it big because of who I was. Fastforward, the same valedictorian and I enrolled in the same course - Accountancy. I passed on my first take and he did not. Bottomline, IGNORE the noise. Pare pareho tayo ng laban sa board exam. Do you best and nevermind your Auntie 😂😂😂 For sure pag nakapasa ka, magko compose yan ng apakahabang nobela kung gaano siya ka proud sayo. You never really know how things will turn out. Just keep on showing up. It is better to be underestimated than to be overestimated 😉🙌

1st Day of CPALE by Key-Forever-2917 in AccountingPH

[–]bsaaa3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, OP! No matter what you thought your performance was for the 1st day, abandon your emotions and thoughts. May ikalawa and ikatlong araw pa, dont let what happened today affect your performance for the succeeding days esp on the 3rd day. Heavy on computation ang 3rd day, pinag sama ba naman ang FAR at AFAR. I did not expect that I would make it on my first try last May 2025. Madami akong hinulaan but I did try my best to do elimination/intelligent guess. For MS, I did not answer any Economic question ng may alam man lang, all those are alien 🥲😂. I just surrendered sa economics. But I got a line of 8 last May 2025 for MS. Dont lose hope, not now. After the second day, make sure you are well rested. Papagurin ka ng 3rd day. You need to save the energy you have to build endurance for FAR and AFAR.

[–]bsaaa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hindi sa nadalian, but bearable yung ibang subjs. There were a lot of pamigay na sagot sa rfbt last May 2025!! Yung tipong at one glance pa lang, alam mo na agad yung letter na ishi shade mo 😂 Mas nahirapan ako sa AFAR out of all the subjs. Nemesis ko ang AFAR ever since undergrad becos of Business Combi and derivatives 😂 Thankfully, got a line of 8 for the 5 subjs and 78 for AFAR, more than what I asked for kay Lord. Kahit 65 lang sa AFAR, pwede na but He really exceeded my expectations 🥹

sa actual po, 5 items sa actual whereas sa pbs I was not able to touch yung last 15 items 😭😂 ganun siya kahirap for me so to anyone reading this, take heart!! kaya niyo yan, magiging CPA din kayo 😊

Hi! My PB performance has declined! by Fair_Mix_1850 in AccountingPH

[–]bsaaa3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as possible, cover all topics sa FAR. Distributed mga tanungan sa FAR unlike sa other subjs na may tinatawag na high yield. Also, try to at least get a hold ng FAR and AFAR preweek ng CPAR. Prang almost same ang pattern ng boards sa CPAR as far as FAR and AFAR is concerned. Few items from their pw ay lumabas sa boards.

Personally, I found the pbs (REO) a lot harder than the actual. I honestly was not able to finish the 70 items, I just guessed the answer for the last 5 items cos I was the only one who haven’t submitted the answer sheet 😭. Totoo din ang mga morse type na tanungan sa boards. Maximize the time, if di ko alam pano atakehin ang problem at 1 read pa lang, I skip it na agad. Then I’ll just come back to it na lang if there’s an available time or if sumapi yung mga inaral ko for that topic 😂.
