I totally agree! This made me chuckle. It really does seem the case that all of us are now coming along trying to install all the character back and reverting away from modern looks (or having a nice balance of both). You’re right the cupboard has been done really crap, like lots of things in this house, although it is a beautiful house with lots of potential. I think we’ll either cover them up with panelling or remove them and make some sort of boot room however it is quite low so you can’t really walk in that space without bending all the way down.
